I was at Mr Beard's house last summer and he told me he was going to do a book, and sure enough he delivered. I havent seen it yet, I know its great. I'm getting one for sure.

Best Pool Book Ever!

I think Freddy's new book is the best book about pool ever written. (And I think I have read all of them.) It is so good because Freddy actually played with a lot of these guys and played with other guys who knew them. You need to buy it and treasure it.

As I've said at least twice, once in a post and once to Fred in a pm, he has outdone himself. This book is, indeed, a must have for any true lover of pool! The recently distributed 8 1/2 x 11 hard cover shows the illustrations much more clearly than the pre-publication 6 x 9 soft cover. This is a truly outstanding work, in my humble opinion.

I have it too and have the same reaction as previous posters. The book is fun and very well put together.

I just got my hardcopy.

I have bought Freddy's other books and some of the material in his new book came from the other books.

Lots of new material too.

I just got my copy and i cant put it down, Freddy also included the One Pocket hall of fame DVD which i havent got to yet.
This book is real good so far and if you like the older stories, this ones for you.

Instant Collectable,,!!!

Yup...

As Tina Turner would say,,,''It's Simply the Best''

This gem of Freddy's is the New Bar Set for All Other Books on Pool to be Judged by,,,

It picks up Where ''The Lions and The Lambs'' Left Off,,,,,

I can't read, but it has a lot of really great pictures in it.

Thanks to Da Beard for outing it to print. So much of pools history is unwritten.

Freddy has done it again

It is a great book. Lots of cool stories about players you have heard of and some you never had.

I lent my paperback copy to Frank "Sailor" Stellman, an old warhorse who happens to be in the book. He told me he could not put it down and stayed up all night reading it.

Thank you to Freddy for putting this together so that the memories of these great players do not fade away completely.

Theres some storys in the there that would make the Statue of Liberty bust out laughing, if you got any kind of sense of humor, pick this one up.

It is the best piece of pool reading I have ever experienced, bar none. Bravo to Freddy! It's the real deal with no sugar-coating!

Some books are riddled with untruths, flaws, and bad memories, but not Freddy's. It's a piece of pool archival history, thank goodness, for future generations.

This pool world is a tough audience. If you give 'em the truth, some say it hurts the image of pool, and if you sugar-coat things, there's another faction who claims it's not the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Freddy's encyclopedia somehow captures both sides of the fence. It's an entertaining truth, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will always cherish my autographed and numbered limited editions. :)

A guy i coached yesterday had a copy and it was very hard to put down, loved looking at the old pictures, reminds me when i stay at Freddies and he has all the legends on his wall.

Great job Freddy, book will be a classic.
