How do we make sure the whole pool world knows about this event?

this event could use some more filipino influence..django? ronnie alcano? rodolfo luat?.. and of course bata..i'd love to see any one of these guys integrated in this challenge..any chance of this?

Up to those players themselves. Anyone is welcome to play by paying the $1000 entry fee until there are 16 players.

We would all love to see those players, someone find out!

srs314 - actually you are not in because it was stated that for the last group of 5, you all rolled together and are now ranked by this roll. So even though you were first on the list you are not first by the dice roll. Thus the reason for you all in rolling the dice. Sorry if you were confused by that.

I am sure that this tournament will fill up. So I don't think this will be an issue.

Since the last 5 are all paid and have rolled the dice - I can let you know that the order is

I haven't heard from any filipino players or their backers, except for Alex. They are welcome to play, no one is barred from this event. But only the first 16 will get in.

By the way, no one has paid me any money, only made a verbal commitment to play. But the people who made these commitments are either the player himself or his backer, so I am fairly confident they will all show up to play. I asked them not to send me any money in advance, just to pay me on site.

There is always the chance someone on the list will not play for whatever reason. That is out of my control now. We of course will replace that person with the next player who wants in. How you guys handle that situation is up to you.

I still think there will be sixteen players come Saturday night, the 24th.

As I understood it being on the waiting list didn't mean I couldn't get anyone from the 11 that had signed up already.

I think I paid before this was claified.

It would be simple to just put all the dice rolls in order wait until just before the event when all the sign ups are done and match up the whole player list with the dice rolls from the whole auction list.

If there is only 15 players then the last person who signed up would be excluded from the order. This certainly goes along with the fact you are guranteeing the first 11 a player? Why not base if they get a player by their dice roll and not by when they signed up just like you are with me/us?

I hope you reconsider how this is done, I'm in either way but I really was under the impression that I had an equal chance at all players.

Maybe I should just get on the phone to the Phillipines and recruit someone to sign up in the 3rd open spot!

I was just thinking this. You'll probably end up with Alcano or Orcullo anyway, and win the whole thing. That's usually what happens in a spot like this. The guy who looked like he was getting screwed wins all the money. :)

I agree but I'm not making this comment becuase I'm worried about who I get really. It's about the process and if I end up getting Orcollo or Alcano I still would feel it should have been done different.

Maybe we should allow people time to make trades, that would be interesting, lol.
 
I sent emails to several players, Mika, Marcus, Ralf, Niels, and I have also informed the Filipinos through Bugsy Promotion about this event. Mika, Marcus and Ralf decided to join.

Niels is still considering to join. If someone would like to back Niels, I am sure a deal could be made. Just PM me.

Don't know what the Filipinos will do, but they do know about the event. Some of the Filipinos going will be Alcano, Efren, Django, Alex and Luat. I am not sure about Orcullo, if they mentioned him too. I named them in another post in another thread somewhere, I think, minutes after I was informed. The plan was to send 6 players from the BMPAP-camp, I believe. Perhaps Edwin can let us know?

Again, sorry if you feel you were mislead about the process. It was not my intention. Obviously, with this being the first time something like this was done - ideas did not come together all at once. Also, obviously - everyone is going to have their own ideas on how it should be done. I tried to make this as fair as possible for all involved.

You have stated that you still want in either way. I will not reconsider how this was done as I stated in this thread how the actual players would be matched up to their 'owners'. There was the chance that you or anyone else could miss the final outcome of our online discussion but we are limited to our discussions in this thread and communicating in this way.

Finally, if after thinking about it this morning - if you want out, no hard feelings and I hope you have none towards me. I will gladly and quickly refund your money in full and even add in the paypal charges occurred. That being said, the last thing I want to hear when the tournament is over is "I would have won if the players would have been matched up using 1-16 instead of two groupings 1-11 and 12-16". If you think that will be your comment afterwards then let me refund your money now. If not, good luck with your player.

No worries and thanks for the reply Watchez, I understand what your saying and just wanted to expess my side of things.

I think I have an equeal chance of getting a quality player either way.

I definatly want in and to be honest the only reason I was a little disapointed about not being able to get a player from the current field is that I wanted a chance to get one of the players I really like, know, and would love to be cheering extra hard for.

Anyway I will take who I get cuz I love the fact that someone took the time to set this up.

Thanks again, and you wont hear me complain after. Especially if I'm collecting the money and looking like the idiot who wanted to change it, lol
