The Joe Rogan Show

Thanks, Jay! Thanks to everyone else for their kind words as well.
Jay, the book looks awesome! I'm gonna get into it this week, and I can't wait. I love a good pool book, and from everything I've heard this book is fantastic!

I've been trying to figure out for a while now the best way to put together a pool show for TV that I could do. Hopefully one day we'll figure it out.
I think we all agree it's the greatest game in the world, and very much under-promoted and under-broadcast in our country.
I had big hopes for the IPT, but that seems to have fizzled out.
The Action Report is still making things happen, but we need something that reaches the mainstream.
Hopefully someone is going to get it together and we'll see the next boom in this great game.

The game needs stars Joe. We need people like you and other well known people playing on TV in the Mosconi cup against europe talking sh*t and starting drama for the millions watching.

Reggie Bush, Dwyane Wade, Micheal Jordan.. these are just some of the superstars ( in just sports ) that have a high interest in pool. If some of these well known superstars with huge fan bases could get their game to an A level and play in the mosconi cup and label it "USA vs europe" ( because, who knows what the mosconi cup is outside of pool die hards? ) and put that on ESPN primetime some Saturday night, pool would become the sport we all dream of it as.

Hell, give em' all a sheet of acid too ;)

Pool needs to get shed more in a positive light !

I agree with the other poster....Pool needs more positive influence in the media from repected personalities like yourself...I guarantee way more money is hustled on the golf course than in poolhall but mainstream media doesn't look down on it...they have the attitude that it's not the majority...some kind of way pool has to be cast in a different light to the media which would take some time & money but as of now their 1st thought when it comes to pool is hustling which they associate with seedy people...On the other hand with golf there's enough positive media & sponsership that the dark side of golf doesn't overshadow all the good things with the sport.

3) Well I won't say since I don't know his status on the subject now. I saw him on a cable TV documentary that focuses on something I feel strongly about and he (at the time) was a big advocate of it!
Joe Rogans okie dokie in my book!

You don't have to be shy about Joe's vehement stance against the prohibition of marijuana, as can be seen clearly on a video he was part of called "The Union" found on Goggle video.

He does a great job with MMA, and makes it an event whenever he shows up to be one of the color commentators.

If you keep coming on here and preaching this dogma, I'm going to ask you to reserve a cup of kool-aid for me.

Maybe we could have a pilot show with that lone surviving Somali Pirate from this week's debacle, competing against another amateur, winner take all. Each week if the Somali Pirate loses, we replace him with another volunteer from Somalia. The show could go on forever.

I know someone is going to steal my idea of a video game of Somali Pirates but it's OK, someone has to make the money. ;)

Well, being that reality shows are what the cool people are doing these days, amybe Joe can do a Pool reality show. It can go something like this:

intro- "in a world, where..."

player 1- I'll play anyone in here 8 ahead for a G

player 2- Sure, but I need the 6,7,8

player 1- With a spot like that, I'd play anybody. why dont you come back after you get a heart transplant

player 2- Dude, I haven't played in 2 months, I can't make a ball

player 1- I've been playing like crap. All I've been doing is shooting balls into the rails

On second thought, maybe you should stick with MMA, Joe. :p

Met him once during a tourny, and he was really a mad cool guy.
nice to meet celebrities that are down to earth, especially when some of the pool pros act like their s!%t dont stink
:)

Yea, I liked his work on News Radio. Phil Hartman was a very funny dude too.

I think Phil Hartman pound for pound is...I mean was one of the funniest comedians in show business.

Too bad for the crazy wife who MURDERED him!

I have been to Joe's show twice. The first time was near the beginning of the tour schedule (I think). Joe and his openers were very good.

The second time I went (a couple months ago), they were "off-the-hook" and in stroke!

If anyone has a chance to go see Joe live, do it!

Remember Whack a Mole? You had to hit them on the head with a hammer when their heads popped out of the ground. I can see Somali Pirate heads popping up from a pool table pockets. With cueball in hand, see how many see how many you can run before you miss. Just a thought.

Phil Hartman

but Joe was good too;)

Bad form Peter bad form... (sorry, Hook was on TV yesterday)

How are you going to dis Joe like this on a thread about Joe, by bringing up Phil.

That's like asking Sammy Sosa for Mark McGuire's autograph (yeah I don't follow baseball that close either)

Joe, did you ever get to nail that fiery red head from that show(I forget her name) or was she a b!tch in off the set?
