The King is...... STILL ALIVE!

Congrats to Efren Reyes for going thru a large field of the best 9 ball players alive and WINNING!!!

Wins the All around and the 9ball. Not bad for a old man.

Oh Efren is washed up. He can't see. He has arthritis. He can't hang with the youngsters.

Hey, he won AGAIN.

Lets' face it - Efren is ...lucky forever! Efren is the champion of champions. I hope Tiger Woods is watching so he can see what a real champion is like.

Let's see, 2nd in banks, last 15 in one pocket, wins the 10 ball, 9 ball, and all around. Yeah, I would definitely say he is all washed up. I don't even know why he risks the embarassment of showing up anymore.

Didn't he win the fatboy too?

Efren might be in the running for the Ironman prize too. Considering the hours he put into extracurricular activities his finishes were fantastic, fantastic had he rested every night after tournament play even. It's a bit early to be burying the old king, he ain't dead yet!!

I wasn't fair. Rodney needed the six ball.

Naaah ... he needed the 5 and 6...and the snap.

Chris

Ps, just kidding.

Way to go old man!!! Love seeing Efren win!

Mike

It's not only that. He'll play you for $10 a game if you want. He's a true pool player, and a great human being.

Chris

(if you want the 5 ball, it's $20 a game, 5 and the snaps and the last two, its' $50 a game. Oh yeah....good luck!)

Old Guys Rule

At least this one does. Efren Reyes. Once again.

Ain't it great. A lesser man might be hard to root for. Wins humbly/loses begrudgingly but with class. Thanks for another memorable performance.

a fan of both Efren and Rodney Morris.

This is his 5th time "getting lucky" for All Around.

Sure made a lot of pool fans happy. (I am)

Congrats to The Man, The Myth, The Legend, "The KING!"

Very well is the best all around living player in tourneys & the gamble for the fact he has out lasted everybody else and has won for 30 years! Next in line for the 2 catagories 2nd buddy hall, nick varner, allen hopkins. For all around tourneys only mike sigel, rempe are my votes! Anybody like to comment on this subject?

Good job Efren! Who ever said old guys that cant see the edge of the ball still cant play. No more excuses eh?

Efren keeps going and going and going like the energizer bunny. He never runs out of gas. Incredibly he's been doing this for more than 30 yrs., gambling every night and staying up late. Matching up with the young guns half his age and still giving them pool lessons.

They should add a mini tourney event at DCC in his honor. The King of Derby City! LONG LIVE THE KING!

Good to see a genuinely nice person like Efren succeed. I thought the rack in the semis where he kicked in two consecutive balls and ran out was great, but then he made a double bank against Rodney that few other players would have seen, much less made.

That was fun to watch.

He never disappoints

He never disappoints us. It's such a pleasure to watch Efren play pool. It's like watching someone paint a canvas with a talented brush. After the brush stroke you say WOW look what he just did!

I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in here. I can't begin to imagine how anyone, and I mean anyone, could have ever been better than Efren. I watched him play Santos in the Fatboy tourney a few nights ago. A shot came up where he was gonna play a safe and roll the one ball down table. He hit it with a bit of draw, dragging the cue ball to the side rail, and just enough inside english to move the cue ball forward and lock it on the 8. Leaving Santo's kicking 2 rails at the one.
Jay says it right, Efren don't shoot the balls in, he caresses them. I've seen almost all the top players play in person over the last 30 years, and none come close to him. No disrespect intended to anyone. But he's a cut above, and a true Champion. We're all blessed to get to see him play. That's my opinion of Efren's play.

Congrat's to the Greatest player of all time.
