Here is the chance to share with each other, what pool related activity it is that we would like to do before we croak. :smile:

I'll go first:

I would love to play some cheap sets of banks with Mr. John Brumback. We could see what kind of spot would be fair and go from there. I don't think he'll need too many balls. :grin: :p :cool:

John is one of the genuine good guys in our sport and a true champion. It would be a great honor for me to get on a table with him. A person couldn't help but to learn a little something, even if it were a short session.

That's what would do it for me.

To sweat a few action games from the rail between my horse and another proficient player, both giving it their all. Win or lose, I don't care. I just want to see good pool instead of the Mickey Mouse match-ups that seem to be so popular today.
 
I want to stake Brumback at playing the slots but I have to find a way to get rid of John's current slot stake horse, Steve Lomax. :D

Pool Players Bucket List, I Love it!

Brian when I was a kid I watched the greatest Bank Player of them all.
Yes, it was Eddie Taylor at the US Open One Pocket in San francisco.
Of course after seeing his abilities I chose to take Banking very seriously.

Banking is my strong suit these days when I play some One Pocket!

Brian, I was fortunate to have a nice chat with John in Vegas in May!
What a gentleman. Indeed playing some banks or one hole with him would
B at the Top of my list 4 sure.

If it is taking lessons from a Pro there would be so many to choose from.
I love my banks so I would second Brian's BL wish and also take a banking lesson from John.

Meeting Jay in Vegas and being able to tag him long enuff for a few beer
and stories.

Apparently, there has been a Canuckian slash American Pool Challenge that has been issued by non other than Brian himself.
This challenge match has been tentatively set to take place at this years
US Open. I don't know how I got roped into this one other than I am from Canada. I think there would be many other much better Canadian players than myself.

They are ganging up on me, so far we have 3 American players, Brian, Sean and PT109 (sorry bud, I don't know your first name) and just little ole me from North of the border. If there are any other Canadian players that think they might come to the US Open, I will need all the help I can get.

Actually, Brian and Sean are two AZ guys that it would be a pleasure to meet. You too PT as you are one of the great AZ punsters.
So, this Challenge will be on my 2011 Bucket List if we can all work it out.

And just remember Brian, Steak won tastes much better than steak paid for.

We have never had a world class 3-cushion table in my area.
Gonna have to find me a Verhoven.

3-cushion and 1-hole are the two games that would wake me at 4:00 am
and make me want to find a table and try a solution to a tricky problem.

...yeah...I got issues....:embarrassed2:

The challenge I, and Sean (sfleinen) have issued, was for us Americans (Sean & I) vs the Canadians (you and pt109 - yes, he's somewhere north of the border up there with you).

I agree, steak won tastes much better than any other. :cool:

My goal was always to play pool on TV so I will stick with that. The US Open would be a fine venue for me to accomplish my goal but I am going to need some serious practice before I get there.

I crossed off one of my pool bucket list items last year by playing in the US Open and winning a match. I enjoy going to a tournaments that I have never been to before and the US Open was a biggie. My next item would be attend the Mosconi Cup which might happen this year since it's in Vegas :smile:

I sure didn't read her comments the way you did.

Just sounded to me like she would enjoy sweating an old-school type pool match with her horse and another 110%'er.

There really has been some, let's say, less than 100% action matches going on lately.

Keep your ears on the tracks for there may be something good coming up...

4. Make it into the money at the US Open.

1. Play a few hours with Shane Van Boening. The guy is just world class on a table!!
