Let's just hope those pinoy orphans ended up with the Tascarella cue.
It's amazing people are defending this guy. A while back I was selling a quite unique cue. Well Deanoc decided he wanted it and just deluged my inbox with not only insultingly low offers but long diatribes about how I wouldnt be able to sell it and how he was entitled to lower pricing because he is so important to the pool industry. I had to repeatedly tell him to take a hike. I assume he does that a lot and some cave.

One time he was looking for a Schon Merry Widow. I had a grey stained one at the time. I had a fair price. He tells me that dealers get them for far less than my price.
Become a dealer, get one from Schon then.

FWIW, I've never sold a cue on here, or even posted one for sale.
However, one member kept making post after post that he would like to have an XXX cue, so I sent him a message and said that I had one that I would be willing to sell because it just sits in the closet. Also, I had three new cues being made and I needed the case space to put them.
This cue is NEW but is a model that is several years old and isn't being made anymore and that is what he was looking for. There are a couple on line and I provide him a link showing that the prices are over $900 to buy them.
I offer a couple hundred bucks less than he can get one for.
He says, sounds like a good deal, but doesn't get back with me.
A few days later, he wants it for less, so I drop about another $100 off and he says, that sounds really good, I'll hustle up some money or something like that.
Then later he comes back and wants me to drop more and at that point I told him to get lost.
It wasn't Dean.
No doubt. Buyers always vanish just as the sale gets close. Par for the course.
My point was trying to use inside info that I couldn’t verify, nor accept as I didn’t pay a dealer price.
At least he wasted less of my time than your guy.
That cue is gone and saw it posted for more a week later, by that buyer.

This guy was trying to do the same thing.
He kept saying his friend who KNEW cues and was a cue guy said that he could get it for way less than what I was asking, even when I made my bottom price I was willing to let it go for. I can sell the cue here and probably get close to what anybody is selling one online for, but I wasn't even thinking of selling it until he posted he was looking for one.

Friend, Reliable Source, or Experts say, is code words for tying to haggle you down on price, IMHO.
Have been told the same thing many times. My reply was it's my price, if you can do better else where. Get it from that scorce.
Than I would say we are done talking about the item I For Sale.
Sometimes people can drive you crazy if you let them.
Friend use to use this line, it not for quibbling, it's for sale.
...I can see Shawn Armstrong is a Canadian who can't handle the AMERICAN politics in that forum, as well. Now I see why they are all on here trying to stir up some sort of ruckus with me, but it doesn't bother me. I can handle anything they can dish out.
I’m willing to bet the offender is posting in this thread (it’s not me).
I'll sick my polar bear on you, you tropical beach livin' mofo.![]()
When I had an auto-salvage people had a bad habit of telling me what stuff I owned was worth. Other times I would be in a hurry, ask somebody their best price, and if I didn't like it I would leave. They would try to negotiate after I had asked for best price, nope, I am moving on to something else. Now I won't buy at any price.
I was no different when people asked me best price. Somebody asked me best price for my business. I thought a few minutes and told them. Five or ten minutes later they asked if I would take ten thousand less than my best price. I told them that they had asked for best price and gotten it. We would talk about what went and what stayed but I wouldn't take a penny less. I wasn't woofing!
