The way it really went down

Finally

I have read the whole thread and was not really sure what happened until Billy's most recent post. At least I can now go on to other things this afternoon.

Dippy contends that Scott disrespected him when they were playing and doesn't deserve to get paid. Really. He says that when you have a good one hooked you should treat him with respect, because it's not often you get the opportunity to play with a gentlemen and especially for the amt that was wagered. Who ever heard of opening the door to let a little humidity in the room, I sure never have. And putting moisture on the balls was a first, right?

Just want to point out to the readers that Dave was upset after the match because Scott came out of the bathroom and rubbed the balls - making them damp and sticky so they didn't break well. Since Dave had the break and ball in hand and a low ball spot, getting a good break is important. There were several things in the match that Dave was upset about and thought were disrespectful.

im not a violent man, people stiffed me for money when i was stuck tons and i lent them more so they could get home safe. I dont play pool to make money i play for social interactivity and to try and compete like i once enjoyed to do, i dont like to lose at any thing and wont ive up easily.

Anyways, round one

dippy looses a little blood vs scott frost aand 2 other hired guys who came into pool room held me down hit me and tried going threw my pockets.

Funny thing is right after my life was threatened, and my body beaten, i didnt go home.

I went and picked up the truck i let scott barrow. I am not afraid of you or your hired help.
Or do you mean that you tried to steal the truck back that scott gave $10,000 to chris bartram to give to you for the truck.or next you may say that chris bartram never paid you. Right?
I will not be extorted,

to lenny, jack, billy, scott,

i owe you nothing, you will get nothing. Im not one to seek revenge so i hope it ends here. Even tho scott told me billy gave him the green light to do this, i know billy jack and everyone else involved are alot smarter then that, and im sure it will end here.
What are you saying that you picked up the truck that Scott borrowed,.My understanding is rthat Scott paid you $10,000 for the truck and gave the money to Chris Bartram to give to you. You know who Chris Bartram is, he's your friend that overuled your bad hit claim with a good hit call on Scott's winning shot in the third set that you refused to acknowledge. Remember? Next you called me and we discussed this on the phone and i assured you that i wasn't involved with what went down in any way period. I then told you that i talked to scott and said to him to not do anything stupid and he said that you made him feel like a punk the way you treated him. It seems to me the more you talk the easier it is to read through your lies.and i'm starting to form another opinion about your character as well as a lot of your poker playing friends will as well. In case you dont know i have a better rep with poker players than you.

Uh-oh. :scratchhead:

This reminds me of a story which involved Keith...Jen ask Keith If he remembers when we were in Lafayette & I staked Him & Ricky P in a partners game...It was cheap sets & we was trying to get down with Chris Miller but we was at another poolroom...Sticks & i think we win like $300 & this one kid was staking him & his friend in the sets...The lil guy tells us after..I got to go to the bank around the corner...I didn't think i was gonna be gamblin..I say ok...we gonna follow you...Keith stops me dead in my tracks & says...That's a working kid...We can trust him...we just gonna wait for you here...So we wait & after bout a hour..I look at Keith and say...Yep a working kid guess we should have followed him...lol..we all laughed since it wasn't more than nut money...I'm sure the kid had the best intentions in the world when he got in his vehicle & probally had the angel on 1 shoulder saying go get the money..it's the right thing to do & the devil on the other shoulder saying F..k em...you never seen them b4 in your life...obviously he listened to the devil....lol:D

Dave: You need to sit back and think about all this without the emotion you now have vested in it. I believe most will agree with what I am going to say.

You feel that you will get in a game with anyone that can come up with the money as long as they act like a gentleman. You want to play, not deal with all the B.S. That is a good attitude to have.

Now, I wasn't there, but for the sake of this argument, let's just say that Scott was a total jerk during the match. This ticked you off, and rightfully so. So, now, you have to ask yourself, as a gentleman, how should you handle it?? If you airbarrel the last set, then you have to accept the fact that you are not a gentleman, and have done far worse in the match than anything Scott did. So, how can you possibly be upset with Scott for his actions, when yours are far worse???

Granted, you want to punish him for his actions. There's a better way, and a gentlemans way to do that. You lost. Pay up. You still have your gentlemans standing, but you tell him what a fool he is. You would have lost another $150K to him if he acted right. He didn't, so now he is out the additional money that he will NEVER get a shot at. He can sit and watch while others get a shot at it.

All you are doing by not paying, and stating so publicly, is telling us all that you are a thief, and your word means nothing. You are not to be trusted. You may think you have pulled one over on Scott, but you haven't. All you have done is sullied yourself.

Sure, you will still get plenty of action. For the same reason pool will never get anywhere. Too many are in it for themselves, and don't care about making things better. Nowadays, it seems like everyone wants to airbarrel, and doesn't think a thing of it. In the old days, if you airbarreled, you got what was coming to you. And, for an amount this large, you would be lucky to live.

Anyway you look at it, you are becoming a thief by trying to exact revenge on Scott. Extremely foolish thing to do. And, it's not even about the money. It's all about, he didn't treat me right, so I am going to sell out my character. Foolish, foolish, foolish.

When you hurt yourself as much as you have trying to hurt someone else, what have you gained??? What is Scott's actual end of it?? Nowheres near $50k, not even half of that. Is it worth it??

A real gentleman, for that matter, a real man, would let it be known why Scott will not get another game with you. Not try and extort him like you say he is trying to do to you. That would be the only thing to do in a well known case like this. If it was private, someone could easily get killed. But, any violence when everyone knows it is just plain stupid. How can you say he is extorting you when you have admitted that you owe him the money?? You are doing nothing but making yourself worse than what you don't like about him.

you know... I understand and have a opinion of everything else in the whole mess.... but something has not been touched upon and is important.

Did the houseman at the poolhall get stiffed for his little jelly too, since after 3 sets it ended in a arguement?:D

PS... Dave.... Billy is believed with his story, as he has 66 years of reputation on the line, and everyone knows he's not going to make things up and ruin that over one transaction. He's been involved in larger transactions than this.

Give me a break

Chris

In reference to the way Dippy handled the 50K debt.

Does the end justify the means??

If Dippy had an issue with moisture on the balls then it should of been cleared up at that time, and if Dippy didn't want the door to be open while he was playing that also should of been resolved at the appropiate time. But to use that as a reason to stiff EVERYONE certainly is a very crude and cheap way out. Period!!

LOL! Yep, he said he remembers it! Dag, KM must not learn his lesson, and you think he would have by now.

The very first time I met KM, me and Larry Lisciotti backed him against this kid, Pistol Pete. Check it out: Getting an Air Barrel in MD

BTW, I love your sweet Southern accent, Troy. I can read your accent in your writings. It's so cool! I love Beautiful Dixie!

Stories

Billy, Lets not get into rep here, im sure there are alot of pool stories and gin stories, and backgammon stories out there about you.

Just cause jay says you are the most honorable guy donesnt make it so. and honestly i hope all the pro poker players never play with me again, it will leave me alone with the people i want to play with. lol, you guys drawing dead here, stick to extortion.

Stories is what your hoping this turns out to be, just another story. There are probably a lot of stories about everyone, but how many of them can be authenicated? That's why your trying to fabricate your side of the story when in fact it is obvious to all, especially if you know all the players involved, who is fabricating and who is not.

ENOUGH SAID ;)

Ill lay 2-1 on a integertity test between me and scott, ill post as much as anted.

All my peers know me, and i have nothing to prove to anyone that thinks people like scott are roll models or good for your sport.

IM not paying scott because i dont owe him. If i left the pool room oweing money i paid everyone, Ask anyone besides scott to say different. He is a degenerate craps player a cronic liar, and a drunk.

Jay you speak to me and offer me aadvice like we are friends or you know me, have we ever met? Have you ever done any type of transactions with me?

Has anyone here seen or heard of me do any thing but pay when i lose? And usually i laugh and pay,

so billy and lenny believe scott,

why wouldnt they want to believe him,

now eveyone believes billy and lenny, hmmmmm why not makes better drama,

good luck all.

Anyways, billy lenny scott Jack,

your team is only as strong as your weakest link, maybe you need to rethink things,

And yes billy offered for me to pay 20k and this would all go away, i said no.
basically i turned down paying 20k cause its a matter of principle,

then i was told just give scott 10k cause he needs it, im not doing that either.

i wont pay one red cent!!!!!!!!!

Dave, You don't know me either, but we've been around the same places. I have no dog in this fight but I've always had a lot of respect for you. In one way you're like Efren, who laughs at his own mistakes and losses in a good mannered way. This is one of the things I really like about you.

The problem is you're making it an "integrity test" with Scott and if that was the original bet, you'd probably win. It wasn't. It's obvious that you owe the money and probably the SUV also. You'd be much farther ahead in the long run to pay your debt and never give Scott a chance to win another dime. That would be appropriate. What you're doing is making yourself an automatic loser in the "integrity test", which I find sad. You're a better man than that, act like it! Something like this could stay with you the rest of your life and I'm a big believer in karma. Most gamblers are. Bad karma is a real ***** when you're gambling for big bucks, like you do, day in and day out! Do you really want this shit hanging over your head? Pay them and tell them to go F*** themselves, but pay them!

Awesome

Truely spoken poetically by the 1 and only WINCARDONA. A very interesting piece I must say. And if I may add 1 more thing, ROAST HIS ASS!!!

I am not sure why this post should even be posted... No one has anything to do with this other than the ones that had money riding on it....
Besides i wanna see the Samoan and Brock Lesnar GET IT ON! =)
I'll take Brock for a dollar...=))

Hey Dippy...

Dave:

Please clarify for us, are you maintaining that you squared up the $50k payment for the 3rd set? And if so, can you once and for all provide us with a when, where, and who was there to witness and can confirm payment was made?

OR:

Are you saying for whatever reasons (Scott spitting, stomping, ball wetting, door opening, general dislike of Scott) that you do not wish to pay up for this debt?

And the final question:

Did you receive $10k from Bartram on behalf of Scott for the SUV purchase? Yes or No?

Basically, answering these simple three questions is all that really matters at this point. All of the rest of the nonsense regarding reputation, backgammon, ballet dancing, etc., etc., are all irrelavent subterfuge.

So please, sir, will you answer for us?

Best,
Brian kc
