This forum is becoming low class....

I'm pretty much done after this so feel free to bash all you want.

I really like this forum, the knowledge displayed here is very valuable in any pool players eyes and I express my thanks to all the people who have helped me in my journey.

Anyway, there are two reasons that back up my original statement. First off, you can't go one day without seeing some kind of skanky avatar, or picture of a girl with hardly any clothes on in these threads, to me that is very offensive.
Second, the recent thread where 2 people are talking about a very talented young pool player being "sumo like" and ugly. To me that is also very offensive.

If I get banned for this then, o well, because I am not coming back. SO smack talk me all want!

Thanks again for everyone that has helped me, there are so many people on here that I highly respect, I would list the names but I don't want to miss anyone.

Good day and good bye.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, I think everyone on here has seen all the goodbyes before. Therefore, in the words of several other posters...bye.

You seemed like a good guy. Why allow yourself to be so offended by such things? Just ignore.

Good luck on the rest of the interwebs. :D

We have seen this afew times before......

See ya when you get over yourself 8 ball.......

that or when you get your new screen name....

this place is like crack ... you cant just quit it

This is the funniest thread I've read in awhile. Props to everyone that posted the funny pics.:D

Before you leave, consider this.

My experience is that posting on the internet, right here on A-Z, has been one of the best learning experiences of my life. It has taught me to respect other's points of view, to be open minded, and to better communicate in real world conversation. It has taught me a lot about civility, and honestly. When I really found out about the crowd on A-Z, what we had here was a bunch of fathers, grandfathers, mothers and grandmothers, professionals, a lot of techies, milionaires, some hustlers, billiards industry, basically hard working decent citizens who love pool. It's heaven!

But there were many moments when I felt exactly as you do, when I had someone who took offense with me or tried to make me look like an ass, or whatever. Then I read something that Fred Agnir wrote, and it rang so true, it was just an instant cure. He said something like "participating in forums isn't something for the thin skinned." I thought about that and realized the problem wasn't with everyone else, the problem was with me and learning how to participate in forums. I was being thin skinned.

Your first statement was "I really like this forum". There is a learning curve, and ultimately you establish yourself. You should give it more time.

I just spent 4 hours reading through some poker forums. (I was looking for WSOP info and got sucked in) If that is what will happen to pool if it gets popular, they can have it.

MAN!!! If somebody thinks this place is rough, they got no shot in those joints. AZ gives every poker forum I saw the 2 out when it comes to civility and coherent thoughts and posts.

They are funny in a 15 year old, high school kid, kinda way, though.

Are there really that many 20 yr olds out there with $100K bank rolls? :p

PSS- You can look at a picture and know that the person in the picture is a skank???? Unreal....
I don't know what a skank is supposed to look like. Everyone seems to have their own definition.

In light of today's web-based forums and the current thread, the statement needs to be modified:

"Participating in forums isn't something for the thin-skinned or people with thin corneas..."

... or thin arterial walls.

OK- I read every post in this thread and have only one word to say:
1. I still don't know who beat Orcullo + gave him his $ back
2. It is Saturday, being low-class, I will consider removing my tie.
3. I am all out of thoughts.

From what I see, you give as much as you get. The last post I read from you was in the thread about Earl's Instruction and you told everybody that they were as dumb as a box of rocks. When you post things like that, you need to expect a tomato or two, perhaps a half dozen eggs will be tossed back in your direction. Sometimes it gets a bit messy.

If you don't like avatars, turn them off.

If someone annoys you, don't read their posts.

Above all else, don't start a bunch of $hit and expect that there won't be consequences for it. That's the laws of the jungle. That's just life in the forums of AZ. Get used to it or get out.

Tap! Tap! Tap! No more to say. Threads done. That's the name of the tune. Over & out. Adios.

Well so far he's kept his word. He hasn't logged in since 2:38pm yesterday.

I put the over/under at 8 days. Bet it up.

I was having a good day till I found out there are skanky avatars on here and I didn't see them.....CRAP!

I'd bet the farm . . .

I'd bet the farm on the "under" if we could tell when he was just lurking as a guest or had came back with a new handle. People who leave just pack their chit and get. I have never seen anyone give a "goodbye cruel world" speech and leave cleanly.
