This is just ridiculous....in the best way possible.

I'm still trying to figure out which one is my favorite! and I've watched it 5x already!!!

I can't fathom the amount of time it would take to invent each new trick shot let alone getting it down pat for demonstration.

Its quite obvious that Florian has raised the bar so high that he pretty much stands alone at this point.

Amazing video!!! I especially liked the masse timing shot in the side where the cue went 3 rails and the red went 2... unreal.

Followed by the behind the back jump, then running up and hitting a traditional jump to get over the two walls?!? I mean seriously... That whole video (like all his others) is completely insane.

FWIW, I sent the link to a guy I know who works in Hollyweird...in charge of the weird stuff...his dept. made the VW bugs used in "Herbie", also does stuff for TV, "Desperate Housewives" and other shows.

I'm sure he'll file the info should a segment need cue skills...

I've watched a ton of venom's vids and wondered when he would run out of ideas but now it's obvious that his creativity is infinite.

I''ll just go on record, never having seen Florian 'VENOM' Kohler perform in person, that he may very well become the next "Willie Mosconi of "ARTistic"pocket billiards.

I call what he does "ART" because it is, as compared to the traditional "trick shot"shooting of pocket billiards.

If Florian can develop his "Banter" and communication style, I can quite EASILY envision him to become the most in-demand artistic shooter of all time. I could easily see him being paid WELL to perform at locations all over the world.

If he is ever anywhere near me, I will be on his one yard line.

Congratulations to you Nathan for highlighting and recording his promising career.

if this guy is at the dcc he can get me for $1000 on one of the shots i seen in his first video...give him 6 hrs to do it..

its getting to the point now, that I dont think its real. I aint ever seen anything like this. It makes the stuff from just a year ago look armature. The creativity of the shots is amazing, I couldnt invent one of those shots, let alone make one. Now he is mastering time shots. Florian is the best in the world, I can see that Mike Massey showed him some stroke shots and he has them in his bag of tricks in addition to the best masse shots ever. Stuff like this should be in a pool movie, that would give pool the shot in the ass it needs to put it on the map again.

Joey, all due respect he has surpassed anything Willie ever thought of or achieved in trick/masse' shots. Willie was a better player.

I don't want to take anything away from this thread but would any of you be interested in starting a thread that we could make suggestions as to what shots we would like Florian to master or is it just better to allow the master of artistic billiards to create his own?

(Personally, I wouldn't be able to make much of a contribution as I even have trouble understanding how someone could have the talent to do what he does).

It is not often that I am so astounded by someone's talent but he is in a class by himself.

I would love to see him get an agent and perform on international television programs world wide.

Thanks...that is simply awesome! Taking it to another level...again!

Eric,
No problem, Eric. I didn't make myself clear.

I wasn't comparing Willie's trick shot routine to Florian's "artistry". There is no comparison. Willie's trick shots were just simple trick shots that required very little true talent.

I was making a comparison of Willie Mosconi's legacy in pocket billiards (straight pool) to the prospect of what could become the greatest legacy in artistic billiards.

Nobody and I mean nobody has taken artistic pool to this level.

As we all know, this is a highlight film meaning that most of these shots have probably taken numerous times to get right. That being said, they are still extraordinary.

To take this on the road and being able to perform even at a modified level would be very entertaining. To have the showmanship and gift of gab like Fats would only be a bonus.

Florian may not have any desire to go on the road, but it would be something to see.

I'm so glad we will be done with the "Railroad" shot.
I don't think anyone will have the nerve to do that one again after seeing this.
Thanks Nathan for the link and thanks Venom for a wonderful look at your amazing talent and creativity.

Another guy who impress me with his trickshots, Semih Sayginer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't Semih's shots all legal (or at least most of them)? Semih is an extremely talented and entertaining cueist as well.

thanks for your support

First I really would like to thanks everybody for your support, that's one of the only thing which make me continue videos like this... As you may
know I'm doing this stuff for free, just to continue to make the evolution of trick shots.

Something I would like to add is that in comparaison to any player and especially legendary players, I'm not practicing 'real' pool so my abilities pocketing balls is just decent but I'm no champion. So I'm just sepnding all my time in Trick shots or artistic Carom...
And as for the creativity...I don't even know how ideas come sometimes lol

It's also really cool to see people notice the difference on my stroke. Mike helped a lot but now it's mostly because I m competiting in carom.. getting my ass kicked in France by some of the greatest stroke ever (they're not really famous here in USA but you should watch the stroke of a guy like Jean Reverchon...it's awesome...)

One other point I have to tell you is that now I've got a manager who is supposed to help me getting TV exposure and whatever.lets cross the fingers :)

But I really want to make exhibitions, travelling on the road and doing shows is something I want to...Actually I'm even trying to get some shows in march after the SBE but you will be surprised that I've actually no opportunity lol
Of course some people are scared that I destroy the table but I really ahve a routine now which is safe for the table...Of course if you find me a table with a felt to destroy than you've got the full power Venom :)

Anyway thanks again for your support and yes..if you've got crazy shot idea I can work on it and make it or modify it a way i think it will be better!;)

I am sorry to say that it takes a lot to entertain me with pool these days as I have lost my love of the game and I have seen so much that nothing really impresses me much anymore.

EXCEPT that video. That was great! Thank you for sharing!
