I had Kamui Black SS tips on two of my shafts. When new, both of them were almost a half-inch high and I didn't like the way they played or felt at all.
On one regular maple shaft, I replaced the tip with a different one because I could never get the feel right.
On my Predator FAT 314-2 shaft I had to cut off about half of it to get it to feel right.
When it was the original length, I think the tip swayed to one side (bent) when you hit the cue ball hard. Lots of the people I know had to chop this particular type of tip down a bit to get them playing right on their cues. Most of the people were using Predator shafts.
