Tom Ferry (Old Has Been) Has Passed

After you've been at AZ for awhile, you start feeling like your part of a family. Like most families, disfunctional at times for sure.

Tom was like that favourite grandpa who would sit you (a grandkid) on his knee and tell you stories that kept your intrest up, time and time again, allways keeping you coming back for more.

And his stories weren't fairytales either,as you new that he lived and breathed the life he so passionetly talked about. He will be missed, for sure.

Tom was the one with the stories. I wish he had shared them more often. The pool community and AzB has lost a good friend. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace. I bet the heavenly pool scene is getting some nice action...

His stories and one liners were and still are among the best on AZ.

A real shame :(

Take care, OHB. Your stories here will be missed by all, but don't be too harsh on them in that great poolroom in the sky!

Sad day!......I can't add any more to what was already said, except I liked the man, I learned from his posts, and he lead the pool hustling life I never had the nerve to try!....RIP

I used to read Tom's posts about eating all these huge steaks and drinking budweisers every day and I used to think that he's going to die from a heart attack. I didnt realize he had cancer so now it makes sense. I hope he lived it up in his last days. RIP.

Tom and DCC

I like many others always loved hearing the stories OHB had to share. I have not been able to make it to DCC, but always waited for OHB to come forward and write about the action and how things were.

RIP OHB (Tom) ... share some stories up there.. I am sure everyone will listen

My condolences to his family, I didn't know Tom but I did enjoy reading his posts.

RIP OHB,

Along with a lot of others, I did not know him but through his posts.

His passion for the game and for telling the history will REALLY be missed.

Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Jerry

You will be missed

I was glad to have known Tom, he allway's had positive input and liked good action. He was from my home State and I liked listening to his stories about the old day's, he was in fact a ( good 'ol' boy.)

I never met Tom but loved his shoot from the hip stories of the old days and his honesty. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Johnnyt

RIP, Tom. I, too, always looked forward to his posts. He had an uncanny ability to tell a story, a great sense of humor, and will be sorely missed on this board. My prayers are with his family...may God bless them during this difficult time.

How very sad. OldHasBeen was one of the truly colorful posters on this board and one of my personal favorites. I am disheartened to learn that I will never have the pleasure of meeting him, but I'm glad to have enjoyed his company here on the forum.

My condolences to his family and friends.

I'm a man of short words, so I'll just say my sediments go along your path. I know Louie was his good friend, we all book winners and losers. Hopefully him and Louie get to play for a long time. I know they'ed like that.

Personally, over all, my money is on OHB, I think he would like that. I'd like it. Wow it is sad, but we all go.

OHB was, a Pool Player and a very good one.
My prayers are with his wife and family.

Though tragic, I will laugh every time I think about his post when he speaks of playing bare foot back in the old days and then soaking his feet in the comode.
That post had me in stitches for days.
Tom will be missed!!!

I did not know OHB, but I really enjoyed reading his posts. He was a stable structure of AZB. This is a major bummer.

Rip Ohb

I would like to give my heart felt sorrow for his family in this time of need. He will truley be missed here. One of the very few on here that I read every post he wrote. He sure could tell a story.

RIP OHB
