And, the Redskins SUCK. W...T...F?
I read in the action room that Tony and Billy had a long, tight match. That it had been paused, and resumed at 7am the next morning. That Tony eventually lost and did not make his 10am match time on the winners side. If that's correct, Tony is still in the one hole tourney.
Outside of that, wtf does anyone know? Perhaps he had a backer that for whatever reason required Tony to keep playing and therby forfeit his 10 am match. Maybe that was more important? Comeon guys, do the math. Are you taking a 50-50 shot at $10k, or a 1 in 20 at $15k?
Perhaps a couple hundred other reasons exist why he didn't make it. We all know late running action matches often get the better of a tourney time.
I think the question "does anyone know why Tony didn't make his 10 am match?" should be asked before criticisms are leveled.
KK9 <- slow at drawing conclusions
If it were Stevie Moore that forfeited a chance at winning 15K and had Tony's past discressions and future fate ahead of him then I would say the same thing.
I once saw Vette loose $1200 on PokerStars. I can't believe a guy that has a family and new house would do such a thing. He wasn't even thinking of his kids when he blew that money. It doesn't matter that he won $2000 the week before. I also heard he went to the strip club a few nights before and blew some dough on a girl just trying to pay for college. If he keeps this up, he might drive his daddy's car lot into the ground. So, if anyone can let me know why he called the all-in with middle pair, I would like to know.
Tony lives Tony's life and has to deal with whatever comes from it. I agree with KoolKat-Vette could has ask in another way.
Vette also makes over $100,000 a year and didn't get caught trafficking 61 pounds of drugs, but you are right, I'm the stupid one.
Oh, I must have missed the part where I called you stupid.![]()

I just wanted to know why Vette called with middle pair!!!:grin-square:
you are correct, it was conjecture on my part and I appologize. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Putting the drug thing aside. How do you feel about a professional pool player with a family forfeiting a match when the tourney pays $15K for first place and you've already spent money in expenses getting there and lost a substancial sum gambling?

Since you brought it up... I make more than that but I still don't think it gives me the right to condemn, judge, or make fun of others regardless of their mistakes. How much money you make, or how much you can lose without foreclosing on the house has nothing to do with it. I'm also NOT defending Tony, he will pay for his mistakes one way or the other. I'm really not trying to be argumentative but there's no excuse for finding pleasure in others problems. If you're so worried about his family and why he forfeited a chance a 15k (per your first post) wouldn't it make more sense to wish tony well? I mean after all if he goes away for a while won't his family suffer for something they weren't directly involved in?
P.S. No one has said that you were "stupid" but your posts regarding this topic are very immature IMO
Corvette, I've been reading this B.S. on here for a while now. Don't you have anything else better to do with your life than to have to come on this forum a belittle a guy that's in enough trouble as it is? He's looking at at least 8 years. Leave the poor guy alone. He doesn't read this sh*t, and I don't know why I do sometimes either, but it gets to be monotonous over and over again, all the time and all the time.
I've known Tony since he was a pup. Everybody makes mistakes in life. He was in a desparate situation at a desparate time. I don't want to have to get into all the politics about it, like somebody else I know. So I'll just leave it that, but to make a long story short, there was three kids involved and a girlfriend, if you get the drift.
In the future, Corvette, nothing against you, I have no squawks with you, but if I can see you write good things about people, maybe I'll give you 500, just like you promised to give me a thousand. Ha, ha, ha. What a farce that was.
