Maybe someone can clarify some of this for me. If I'm reading correctly, Tony gambled with Billy and lost 10 dimes and then forfeited his match the next day in the one pocket which carries a 15K first place prize?

lmao. wow, just simply wow.

This guy is about to spend some serious time in jail and has a kid, wife/girlfriend etc..to take care of and does this. Someone please tell me that this info. is incorrect because I fail to believe that anyone can be so stupid.

What don't you find somebody else to b*tch about? To create an entire thread about it is assine.

Who gives a f*ck what you think anyway? People in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks.

I was asking a simple question because I could not believe that anyone would do that. Can you clarify or just throw insults?

To clarify, I was told the first place prize in the one pocket is $25K.

it was put in another thread that they lowered the first place prize to $15K and distributed the other 10K out for the other places, per the players vote.

You seem to be awfully interested in Tony Chohan. You don't even know him, do you?

Others have expressed their disdain at your constant ridicule of him. Why not give it a rest and concentrate on your own problems.

First off, probably wasn't his 10K to begin with. Second, the 15K isn't guarenteed to him (we know he's capable, but its not guarenteed), and furthermore, if he won, he may have had to chop up the winnings as well....

lol, so that makes it ok I guess. I guess I'm just miffed by the fact that someone could take their job so flippantly. If I have a chance to make 15K then you can be damn sure I'm not gonna miss work.

If it were Stevie Moore that forfeited a chance at winning 15K and had Tony's past discressions and future fate ahead of him then I would say the same thing.

What about past discretions on this forum? Again, people in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks.

Like I said, work/9-5 job is guaranteed money...tournament play isn't. And we really don't know what is happening to begin with. We can speculate and assume all we want, but only he knows what's going on in his life....

Talking about a player missing a match due to late night gambling is one thing, however this tidbit could of been left out.

perhaps, but it just emphasizes why he should take his job and life more serious. I guess I'm the only one that thinks Tony shouldn't get a free pass on dealing drugs and then acting so irresponsible when he should be trying to do everything possible to turn his life around before he goes to prison.

Hell, cut his ankle bracelet off and let him go.

I don't see how you can compare what Tony is accused of to being banned from an internet forum.

If you don't want to discuss Corvette's question, fine.....but your argument of doing so is simply ridiculious.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. It is no surprise that you would have this opinion.

Only because it is a realistic one.

Again - you are saying people in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks. Are you trying to infer that Corvette being banned from an internet forum holds the same weight as someone accused of selling 61 pounds of marijuana? If so, then you truly have no sense of reality.

but, for tony, gambling and playing in tournaments is his job so he should treat it as such. if he doesn't like it, then he should find another job.

My sense of reality is this, Watchez. When a forum member continues to ridicule a pool player, one who has friends on this forum, only to antagonize and cause consternation, I'm going to express my opinion, just like you have.

It is unfortunate that some members of this forum have been banned multiple times under multiple identities. Maybe this forum is not society, but this forum has rules, like society has laws.

I dont know much about his situation, though I would guess he is out on bail? Are you aloud to leave the state when on bail? Just throwing that out there as something that seemed strange to me. I know little about the justice system, but that was something I had always heard.

As far as Vette's question, though put harshly, I didn't feel it was a bad question. Was he trying to get under JAMs skin, possibly. Still, its a valid question to what seems like a strange thing to do.

All of this would go under NPR. Discuss this type of stuff along with the political bantor that continues to go off. As for getting a free pass, I fully agree with people dealing drugs shouldn't.
