Tony Chohan vs Dennis Orcullo

it's also just not in the spirit of the game of one-pocket for your opponent to make a hanging ball and run from your break. it usually gives an insurmountable deficit to the breaker and cheapens the game a little imo.

Dam I'm going back to Reggie and asking for some money back not so sure that will work out for me lol

I hear you loud and clear but I know that if I am gambling I insist on two things

1 - I don't want my opponent racking for me and vise Versa and all the rack checking that ensues

2 - if a ball goes in on the break it's because the rack was situated in such a way and I am not donating to that kind of charity. I think with a good rack that corner ball is not supposed to go.

The way One Pocket has been played FOREVER was that if you make the corner ball you keep shooting. I've never played it any other way. It's very difficult to make the corner ball with a tight rack, but it can be done. It might happen once in twenty games, if that. It's more table dependent than anything else. Some tables will break that way more than others. And making the corner ball is no guarantee of victory. There's a 50-50 chance you will not have a shot at your pocket after that. It is an advantage when it happens but it's not insurmountable.

Argle fargle snarb.

In a more kinder age....players racked for each other.
...making a ball on the break was the start of an 8 n out.

....for me, the rules change when it's 'rack your own'......RERACK

I feel the same way about 8 ball. If ya make a stripe ya should shoot a stripe. If you scratch.....next up shoots from the kitchen.

One Pocket is about the match up and in the end the skilled player usually wins. Tony is very hard to match up against. His shot selection is unique and he will shoot for his hole. Scott didn't shoot at his hole when he played Dennis and gave away many games that he shouldn't have lost. That's not going to happen with Tony. This will be a very interesting match given its length and bet size. Watch out for the T-REX EXPRESS highballing it through the rail yard.

I agree with you about Scott and I've stated it a few times before. Scott changed his game and he tried to play more conservative to keep Dennis off the shot. Bad idea for him in retrospect.
