Trent, did your attorney advise you that you should have had the buyer sign a release prior to making the cue that you were not responsible for damages to his property "his wood"? Gee, in the abscence of that one could advise Larry to sue you for damages to his wood. The
Public comments by you would turn the case alone. If I were you I would
Be sending this cue back in a hurry and hope
He doesn't take action. It doesn't sound like you could afford the hassle. Smarten up quick

how about i send it to you and you can jam it up your ass.

I couldnt have imagined id ever need a lawyer, so no he was not contacted prior. i took this cue on for fun and to be nice for basically the cost of materials in the cue, no profit. just becasue i like to build cues.

Im in no hurry and wont be.

larry just post your address on this thread so the world knows you gave it to me. i dont have a paypal account any longer so i cant look it up that way.

Send it to Rat

Now you say you can fix it? If that is the case why has it gotten to this point? Larry has said he will pay another to repair the cue. Send it to Ryan and you and Larry will both know the truth.

Cue is to be mailed to me then I will decide who to send it to for repair......thanks for your help tho Grimm. My address was emailed to you TRENT.............now for the 3rd TIME

Trent says no wonder why many of the "other" cue makers have left this forum because of all the keyboard worriers, bla, bla.

I'm not sure who these "other" cue makers are but you never hear about them releasing DEFECTIVE cues.

You will never hear Dennis Searing say, yeah, it's got a little rattle but other than that it's a pretty looking cue. Just sign this release and I'll ship it.

If you take pride in your work how can you put your name on a defective product?

Trent should not compare himself to the real cue makers out there.

Another stall tactic...... I have emailed it twice now, and it's also on BOTH of his payments from PAYPAL.

ok i finally have the email with your address it only took a week and a half and this thread that didnt need to be started.

ill take a pic of me sticking it in the box so youll know the contents are being shipped. as long as i have time before i head to work ill get it done today, if not then tomorrow for sure

and thats it, now wasnt that easy?

The last thing I remember about this ordeal is that he said he was sending the cue. I figured the next thing we would hear about this was simply that it was done and the cue was in the owner's hands. This is very distressing.

Disagreements happen, we are not defined by the problems we have but rather by how we deal with them. I understood the conflict before. It was clear. But it has now changed. It is no less clear though.

I believe the cue should be sent to the owner and since the issue was brought before the public by the maker then the maker should issue a public apology without delay.

That's just my opinion. I wouldn't pretend to tell either one of them what to do.

Trent, you made it public, so you are getting an opinion, like it or not. You have crossed the line. You are wrong. Send him his property.

Larry, you also went public now, so you get my opinion as well. You sure did hold your tongue for a long while publicly and in the face of what seems to be great aggravation. I commend you for that and can't blame you for going off loudly about it. Get your cue back or pursue that matter to the fullest.

That's all I have to say.

This is great first i dont want the cue released period! and everyone hangs me on the cross then after 200 posts of people saying just take your name off it and send it i decided sure ill ship it, then i get railroaded for doing as everyone wished by shipping it.

good bye i wont be logging in again to post here.

... i dont know how many times i have to say this the cue butt will be in new condition not beat up not destroyed just as pictured, shinny and new.

Ive asked for this repeatedly.

theres no rep to salvage here, im not trying to save face and im not going to fold on this until i have a address what can i do?

Brah,

Post pics of the cue, with today's newspaper. Show everybody that you still have it.

Assuming you still have it (and I'm not accusing you of selling it), then it will go a long way towards the resolution of this issue.

While the wood may not be expensive, it has sentimental value to Larry.

Send the cue back.

Then I would respectfully suggest that you consider another line of work that doesn't involve customer service...

Part one.

Trent, the thing that I see and even have to smile just a little is that you don't see any comparison to this and all the complaints I have received over time about you harrasing other posters..calling them a thief or other names.
Walking your mile in those shoes is no fun I'm sure...but nobody "did" this to you.

Per that request via reported post, the answer is NO. I will not delete this thread.

Aren't people supposed to do some research first? Deleted threads are problematic to that end.

Or he could just provide a pic of the cue ,written current date, with a note stating to "shove it up your ass",, there'd be no disputing he still has it then..

Of course you have his address. He has no reason to post it on a public forum. Ship his stuff and stop jacking around.

Trent,

My apologies but I didn't read all of the garbage in this entire thread. I saw where you made your early comments and I replied with what automatically struck me. And that was that you wanted to ship a defective product.

I also realize that running a small business is very difficult.

But you have gotten frustrated and lashed out and this is the result.

People will pile on when you act out in frustration.
Good luck Sir

Hold the phone. Is this the same deal where the customer supplied the wood? If so this changes everything.

Ugh.. Not another Trent bashing thread. Him and I talked extensively about this cue over the weekend and how there was a bonding issue with the glue and the oils/sap in the wood.

It's so funny that many here hide behind a veil of ignorance to facts at hand, and their trolling swagger thrust out of their fingertips. Get a freaking life.

Good luck Trent. You make beautiful cues bro. Don't let this get ya down. Keep up your excellent work and dedication to woodworking.

Zach.
