Turn The River

Thanks, Bill. It seems that it wouldn't pull up for me right away. I had a buffering problem, but I am going to try again tonight. Sometimes my Internet connection seems to be faster during different periods of the day, I think. I can't wait to watch it! :)

Thanks for sharing the link!

JAM

It went straight to video (what a surprise). I thought it was going to show in the theaters. Anyway, the DVD comes out on 7.22.08 at which time I'm sure you can probably get it on Amazon or any other movie site.

It's for rent via home delivery from Blockbusters here in Florida and can be pre-ordered on Amazon for 6/22/08 for $23.00. Johnnyt

Home delivery.. I've not signed up for online from BB.. So they don't or will not have it at their store locations?

Is it really a good idea to post links to pirate movies? Especially one based on the focus of this forum?

Seeing as how this site is largest gathering of pool fans in the world it might just be possible that someone associated with the production might be looking for reaction to their movie here. I imagine finding multiple links to stolen copies of it might not please them too much and could have consequences for Mike and the site.

I can guarantee if I come here and see someone posting links to jacked TAR videos there would be some shit. I know one of our sets is already floating around and it pisses me off. I can imagine what it would be like to see your feature length indie movie posted up for all to see. We all know this stuff is out there but that doesnt mean we should promote it.

Just saying.

I'm not mad. Just seems like a bad idea is all.

If complaining stops Mike from getting a letter from some lawyer then I guess I am guilty. Depending on how serious the owners of the copyright are that is not far fetched. A buddy of mine got his wake up call when he did a website for Hawian Tropic that was for a Super Bowl party they were having in Florida. It seems the words Super Bowl are copyrighted/trademarked/owned in full by the NFL. He thought the cease and desist letter was funny till he got a call from the office of the CEO of Hawian Tropic saying to get that shit down NOW!!! Seems the CEO got a letter too.

Mike didn't post it and there's no way he can control all of the members posts on this site.. Enough said.

True, but if its left up, it is the responsibility of the site owners.

Surrrre.

Ever hear of a little site called Stage6?

Gave this site the 2 out in traffic. Gone. Shut down. No more. Seems the lawyers don't want to hear "But I didn't post it"

There was some amazing original and public domain content there. It is all gone because users posted copyrighted content. The sites owners decided it was easier to shut down than fight the legal battles.

For sure, Stage6, is gone but, Stage66, is thriving, http://www.66stage.com/ along with at least a dozen more.

Really glad I could get you guys, Scotty Townsend's, phone number when you called me. No problem guys, any time. I like Mike too so it's gone.
