Eh I think you'll miss the worst of it. You aren't too far from Binghamton and they're only calling for 3-5 inches and even less in Syracuse. Of course we're used to this stuff. LOL.

Drive safe. The stretch of 81 that you're on (to NYS) can be a little rough in the winter, but once your past that, it shouldn't be too bad.

My wife and I will be there all day Saturday and Sunday morning.

The 10 PM round is underway...

Here a few names on the ONE LOSS side....

Ewe Mataya Laurance

Kelly Fisher

Joe Tucker

Rodolfo Luat

John Morra

Julie Kelly

Mike Dechaine

This is looking to be a VERY interesting event.. BTW, Met Joe P from the forum..Nice guy..too bad he lost his match today..

Good luck to everyone this weekend, special good luck to the boys who I saw playing at Silver Tip last sunday. Jason, Erik and Alex!

I saw Adam Smiths name on the list earlier in this thread, but when I looked at the brackets for an update his name was not on there. Does anybody know what happened?

Yep Joe is a nice guy.

Hang in there Joe! I have another day to go before I get there.

We're 2-5 for locals. Bucky and Randy won their first match. Joe, Rich, and Bob all ended up on the left side. The local from the room I play in, Bob Fuller, drew Mike Davis to start. Nothing like running into a buzzsaw before you even get started.

Hopefully the weather won't hamper the turnout for spectators.

The drive was'not too bad. Didn't know it was a "dry" casino. Could have used a drink when I arrived. Guess I'll dry out for a few days!

He was in the list of players who pulled out of the event at the last minute. Mike Z usually has a list of replacements when this happens.

Allen Hopkins was another last minute cancel.

Liquor store

is located next the the gas station at the next red light down from the main entrance. hope the stumbling goes well, also the club lava has the event catered to get around the rulling against the casino about alcohol.

the courts have decided that the tribe already get too many breaks and so they don't get a liquor license. Being on a reservation they don't pay the federal taxes on sin items,(alcohol, guns, cigarettes, gas - yes the gas is about 10 cents cheaper there instead 2.32 it was 2.22) this is how it was explained to me by a worker at the facility.

Well, that's a bit simplified...It's a much more complex issue. The status of the land on which the Casino sits is being decided now by the BIA
BUT, Lava (nightclub) technically is a private club now..However, I think if you stay at one of the Turning Stome Hotels, they let you in.

Lucky Liquors is located right across from the gas station. I can't believe it took that long to build one..

There is a non-Oneida Gas station just down tthe road.(take a left) , where you can buy beer.the prices are decent too.. (BTW, they make a good sub sandwich as well !!) It's a mile or so away..

I'm a local so, if ya need any direction or recomendations..ask away..

calcuttas?

There aren't any calacutta's that I saw when I was there. I'm sure there may be some side bets. I heard some people talking about playing for large sums of money. Again, I don't think there is a designated calcutta though.

Hey,

Does anyone know if Accustats is there with someone like Danny DiLiberto doing commentary again?

Almost-Adam was entered/paid but did not make it to TS til the Players meeting which was too late-His spot was given away after he failed to show by the "Registration deadline".

As an aside, rumor has it one young player. a previous winner on the Joss Tour has been so obnoxious and out of line the whole tournament while not playing, he will be notified he is barred from the tour tomorrow. No names as it is still a rumor but he really has been a jerk.

the plot thickens.....

Hmmm...

on a more cheerful note..I was thinking today that I should put together a short list of stuff when the next TS event happens, Like places close to the casino to go eat and get beer and stuff like that..
