Federed and Gorsted. Hung up to dry.Thorsten wins, knocking Van-Van out.
Mika has been playing really well for the past year and a half of so. I wonder if he's made some changes or just refocused himself.Fedor wins 13-11. (No second final match)
Mika has been playing great and with a few more better rolls, he would have won the tournament.Mika has been playing really well for the past year and a half of so. I wonder if he's made some changes or just refocused himself.
One player that really puzzles me is Thorsten Hohman. I can't believe how much he moves on the shot. I had to go back and watch some footage of him from 20 years ago or so and he moved a bit back then but he shoots like he has a plane to catch after just about every shot now.
Fedor -- what's left to say about him? We'll hopefully be watching him for a long long time.
Thorsten has been like that for years. Need to go back and check out YouTube to see when this started.Mika has been playing really well for the past year and a half of so. I wonder if he's made some changes or just refocused himself.

16 of the 37 Turning Stone event winners were undefeated; 21 were from the one-loss side.Great tournament but like always I hate that they go to one longer race. It’s such an advantage for the player coming from the 1 loss side. ...
The other way to look at it is that the player who came through the losers' bracket has at least as many wins as the winners' side player and maybe more. Like when Mika lost his first match at the US Open and won the thing.Great tournament but like always I hate that they go to one longer race. It’s such an advantage for the player coming from the 1 loss side. It’s very hard to double dip someone in the finals
I get why they do it And I agree make the final 16 or 32 single elimination but You won’t find a single player in the losers bracket that would rather beat someone 2 sets instead of 1. Lol To me it’s a huge advantage for the losers bracket player. Hes warmed up and ready to go and the guy who hasn’t lost is cold for sitting for 2 hours. I was rooting for gorst but honestly I don’t feel he really one. It was a tie and got the trophy and more moneyThe other way to look at it is that the player who came through the losers' bracket has at least as many wins as the winners' side player and maybe more. Besides, a single final match is easier on the audience and the scheduling. True double elimination helped kill pool on TV in the late 60s. The best solution is to use single elimination for the final 16 or 32.
