Turning Stone stream feedback

The turning stone steam is very nice.

Please, please, pretty please, with a cherry on top..... Keep the score board up on the video ALL the time. Right now, its only on between racks, and the viewer has NO IDEA what the score is for the vast majority of the time.

Thank you very much.

I like it the way it is. If you're following th match start to finish I find it works. The scoreboard is bright and distracting, I feel. I wouldn't mind a simplified version while play is going on, but I have no trouble remember the score from the previous break between racks.

I have 2 window tabs. One with the U-Stream+chat, and the other with the Live Scoring for all matches.

I have the video playing full screen.

While I think the live scoring for all the tables is amazing, the video stream should stand on its own, and show the score continuously.

I also agree the score board is a tad too big right now, to be shown continuously. That can be easily adjusted.

Remember how cleanly everything looked at the World Pool Masters? The scroreboad was up continoulsy during that event. That scoreboard even had a lot more information on it. It showed the time clock, timeouts remaining, and which player was currently shooting, all in a simple and clean interface.

I prefer a scoreboard

The live scoring went down and few knew what was happening with the matches. At
least with a constant score on the main table, the commentators are obligated to make
sure the score is refreshed after each game and correct. i definitely for these reasons
favor constant viewing of thew score.

Thank you for providing the stream matches are great, stream is fine. I really wish they would commentate the matches.

I just dont see what is the big deal about waiting til the end of the rack to see the score. Are you just watching now and then for some reason with no sound?

Commercials play and play again a second time, the stream comes back to the match and it is back before it left off and it goes to commercial again, either a buggering issue of streaming issue. It did this on Saturday and Sunday. Most of it was good footage and yes it was free to watch, just some glitches or problems.

The stream was good with no problems. The only thing that needs to happen is to stop the racking inspections. Pool is suffering enough and does not need the rack inspecter's dragging it down any further. Neutral racker with no inspections.

I couldn't agree more. Neutral rackers are what's needed in pool today due to the rampant rack-rigging. I think it's a joke to break balls based on the cracks in the rack. Sheesh!

Bowlers don't rack their own pins, and professional pool competitiors should not have their hands on the balls when racking. It is no different than playing poker with a marked deck when it comes to rack riggers.

Free stream that I could watch on my phone. I got no complaints. Thank you to everyone responsible. :)

I get your point and agree. Although if I had to bet, I'll gladly take the poker player using a marked deck over a pool player that rigs the rack

Its the biggest deal to me, and annoys me to no end. Its worse than when the commentators go off on tangents and start singing songs.

Imagine watching a football game when the score is only shown after a touchdown. You will quickly forget what the score is, and lose interest.

To answer your question, I both do watch intently for some periods of time, and other periods of time I shift my focus and have it on in the background on the TV. In either case, if a rack takes 10 minutes (which due to the racking BS in this tournament they all took about that long), and the score is only shown for 15 seconds every 10 minutes, well, thats a very small window to see the score.

Its not an unreasonable request. Almost every single sporting event on network TV constantly shows the score. I remember in the 80's the football games did not show it all the time. Then, one of the networks, maybe Fox in the 90's, came up with their scoreboard that was always on, across the top row of the screen. Shortly thereafter, every other network that broadcast football came up with a similar scoreboard that is constantly shown.

These network pros know what they are doing. Pool should copy as much as they can from network TV. What I'm asking for costs zero money, has no disadvantages, and may potentially keep viewers more interested.

I enjoyed it for the most part, some of the matches were a little lopsided but I don't think
AZBTV had much to say about what was streamed. For me the lighting could be a little better
have a bit of trouble identifying some of the balls. My internet service, which has been an issue with other streams, held up fairly well, got a little choppy in the finals. Really appreciate the effort put into making this happen, thanks to all involved.

All other streamers need to ask Al how he does it!

His streams always run smooth at very low bandwidth usage,
despite having a clear sharp picture.

I watch on my 42" TV and it looks great.

... if a rack takes 10 minutes (which due to the racking BS in this tournament they all took about that long) ...

I know you're just intentionally exaggerating there, but:

Average minutes per game for the streamed Turning Stone matches I watched:

TS XXIV -- 5.2 min. for 317 games
TS XXIII -- 5.2 min. for 330 games
TS XXII -- 4.5 min. for 229 games
TS XXI -- 5.9 min. for 308 games

The elapsed time for each match was measured from the lag until the winning ball was made (or conceded), so it includes time for racking and timeouts.
