U.S. Open 10 Ball Champion to Play 10 Ball Ghost tonight at 10pm!! BIgfoot Action!!

Rodney wins!!! After 166 games at 7:30 am he takes it down 87-79

He was on the hill with the 10 ball 2 ft from the pocket and the cue ball skids and he misses!!! He goes back to +1 after that before turning up the gas and finishing off the Ghost! Unbelievable display of heart . Rodney is "the Man" says Russian pool fan Vladimir Nikolaev.

I'm going to sleep. Goodnight.

I'm glad he won, but I'm wondering what made this so tough for him?
Also how does a cue ball skid? :P

But seriously, if Dennis can do it in 12 racks and CJ used to do at will,
how is rodney struggling with this for hundreds of racks?
Is it just lack of familiarity with the big table?

Was this an actual bet or just a paid exhibition, in which case everyone got their money's worth?

I would think if it's a bet, they'd have to cap the number of tries rather than
"Rodney can play until he collapses". If it was a bet, someone had rodney clocked
pretty good because on paper he's supposed to do this easily but he apparently struggled with it.

Did Orcullo do it on a 10 footer with 4 5/16" poskets?

As you're catching well deserved flies and sawing serious wood, Thanks Ray for doin whatcha do!

Dennis got to soft break. Spread them enough to run out and that's it.
Rodney had to hit them hard and no combos. From what I saw in the 10 ball event, I would have bet on the ghost too.

Any 3rd tier pro, robs the ghost fellas. Lol
I guess some just never leave the keyboard to actually know.

Rodney may have struggled do to his lack of practice, he's not SVB. But the longer the ghost set goes the more it favors Rodney, he's getting that practice in vs an easy opponent.

Cobby, who was backing the ghost in this, changed the rules this year to remove the areas that Dennis Orcollo exploited last year. No soft break. No early wins. Rodney could shoot combos and pocket the money ball early but he still had to run out.

For those of you who think this should be easy top players, you haven't hit balls on the Bigfoot. It requires a level of focus and concentration that you won't experience on the 9ft. I'm really impressed that Rodney won this.

Rodney Morris from Facebook - He changed the rules from the Orcullo match last time. I had to break them hard and no pattern rack and couldn't win in a short game. Had to run every last ball regardless. It was insane. I loved it though. Conquered that five by ten table in my mind:)

Rodney is back, he just have to put the pieces back in the right order:smile:.

Distance in your mind, angles in your heart, - it´s all in the angles.

Rodney plays as good as anyone for the cash, and the "smarts" know this. The Filipinos are the only ones that would test him.....perhaps.

Not sure how much pool Stalev has been playing lately but I see he is there at the DCC and if he is at all practiced up and shoots like he once did I am not sure Rodney would be tripping over himself to get into a even money set with him. Guys like Karl Boyes, Melling, I am pretty sure they would jump. And Darren seems to have trouble with SVB and Dennis O, he might love stepping down a notch to get to Rodney because no matter how good you think "Rodney is for the cash" I think SVB and Dennis O are well accepted by almost everyone as the more feared and capable players. I doubt Rodney is asking either of them to match up even for big cash, and if he does there will be a line a mile long to bet against him in the Action Room.

Anyone that thinks the ghost had a chance in this game has no idea. The ghost can't run three or four in a row. Rodney, no matter how he may or not be playing, can always run 3 or 4 in a row with BIH. Yes, even on a ten foot. Rodney wins this game, every time. So does oscar, morra, Bartram, Corey, dechaine, anyone of that caliber.

Yeah - the 10 footer is tough but any Pro should be able to handle it. Probably a bunch of shortstops too.

Certainly no big accomplishment.

Rodney Practically Played a whole Tar type match against the Ghost last night- kudos

I dont who could have done this one but regardless great pool...

Maybe Cobb should change this as a race to 100 against the ghost in one sitting --- You gotta be in shape to get there or fatigue will take over...

I'm guessing the big change that made this tougher than dennis' version is no soft break.
Even if you play smart position, you can get into trouble moving a cue ball 10-15 feet.
If it took Rodney 166 games, I'm not sure a shortstop can get there.

How quickly do you think SVB, Ralf, Efren, Dennis or Niels would be able to do this?

I would bet a lot less than 166 games.

SVB ran 5 or 6 in the finals last night.

I think SVB could give the ghost 8 on the wire going to 16 with his break and BIH. That's 8 ahead right there. At least it's almost gambling this way.
