From their facebook post, it's been 10 years since they filled up! I can't wait to get there!

"The U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships has a FULL FIELD of 256 players for the first time in 10 years! AMAZING! Come see all the action at the Chesapeake Conference Center!"

I'm here at the event now, and the brackets have just been posted. There are some mean match ups coming our way. Archer will play Orchollo in the second round if they both win, and Shane plays Dechaine in round 1, followed by Lo Li Wen in round 2 if both players advance. Should be interesting.

On another note, I just ate dinner with Justin and Shane, and Alex Pagulayan was with us beforehand. It seems the Lion is not only confirmed to play in the event, but also eager to get started. His bracket is looking soft (if theres such a thing at the Open), so hopefully he'll have a chance to get comfortable on the table in the early rounds.

I'm leaving now to head to Q Masters. The place will be packed with world beaters.

Live Stream

Pat Fleming of Accu-Stats fame has the Pay Per View streaming set up and you can watch the matches live by clicking here and registering.

You can also keep up with AZBilliards live scoring, brackets and live videos from CHERRY BOMB, Samm Diep by clicking here.

In fact, it looks like the brackets have already been drawn and you can see who's playing who in the first bracket. I even saw a Michael Page on Winner's Side 1 bracket.

Nawaf,
Are any of your friends playing in it this year? If so, good luck to them and hope you enjoy the Live Stream from Accu-Stats.

Thanks,

If you go through all of the brackets, you will be amazed at all of the talent that is playing. A lot of AZBers playing too.......

WooHOOOOOO!

I didn't see very many females in the brackets... did see Sarah and Ewa, didn't see Allison or Karen but I did go through the brackets quickly and also didn't notice that Archer would meet Orcullo in the second round!

Thanks,

None of my friends are playing sadly, because of a major arabian tournament tour will be going on the same date as the US Open, one of the big fellas decided the date and forgot all about the US Open, which is stupid if you ask me. Not only my country but most arabian countries and players are not coming to the US Open because of that tournament that will be going on tomorrow in Qatar.

Steve,

Brackets are posted here. http://usopen.azbilliards.com/

There are going to be some interesting first matches. Hall of Fame nominee Francisco Bustamante draws Shawn Putnam. Shane Van Boening plays Mike Dechaine.

Nice representation of women from the New York area with Smiley, Jennifer Barretta, Borana, and Inside Pool cover girl Neslihan Gurel.

Does anyone know where the brackets are gonna be posted online ?

-Steve

I cant find dippys name anywhere in the brackets, must be waiting at the gambling table, lol
