U.s. Open brackets

Finally! Thanks so much for sharing.

If I added up the numbers right, it looks like 158 players in total.

Somebody else, please do the math. It is not my strong suit. :embarrassed2:

Shannon Daulton doesn't get a bye? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? His first round, he's playing one of my faves, Kevin West, from my neck of the woods.

Eric Moore vs. Dave Bollman first round? I think they shoot out of the same room. How unfortunate that draw was.

I just counted it again, and now it looks like 170. :embarrassed2:

close enough. +/-4. i tried, too & quit.
so they're now short ($40K) on the purse? how does this affect the payout, JAM?

Somebody may not get paid at the conclusion, unless they make a killing at the gate, but this venue, I've been there. It holds much less spectators than the Chesapeake Conference Center -- not that the center got filled up, either, though.

He did put 50 dimes in escrow, I think I remember reading. The problem is the lower amounts, the people who cash first, want to leave to save on expenses. They usually don't want to hang out the whole week. If they pay these folks, the money at the top end soon becomes bare bones.

I really do want this Open to work. I feel bad for Barry Behrman. He tries so hard each year. I know he wants it to be successful. One nice touch is that he gives every lady a long-stem red rose at the gate on the evenings of the weekend.

Praying for a good outcome. :)

When will we know what matches are being streamed Sunday night? I know it's only $6, and that's not the point. Most don't want to watch 2 and out players. They can do something else for the 6 hours. Johnnyt

I counted 171.

:groucho:

I'm sure yours is the more accurate count. :p

Man, my favorite European player, the Italian Stallion, is in the house:

FABIO PETRONI.

Agreed. Can't imagine why the streamed matches are not known in advance...I have to imagine that the TD is willing to work with Accu-Stats...??? This is a consistent issue. I would have bought a LOT more PPV from Accu-Stats if they could address this issue.

KMRUNOUT

No bye for Oliver Ortmann. Wow! :o

My local friend, Mike Ricciaradella, is in. Plays slow as a turtle, but he is one of pool's strongest supporters. Love this guy and his passion for the game. :)

Oooh. Brandon Shuff and Frankie Hernandez both have a bye, but they play each other next round. Tough draw for Brandon. Frankie is no slouch, and he is comfortable in this venue. Well, so is Brandon. This will be a good match. I hope they put it on the TV table. :p

Poor Warren Kimaco. Travels 30 hours to Virginia, only to play Mika Immonen his first round. Each has a bye, but their first match ends up playhing each other.

How fortunate Eric Durbin is to play pool at the U.S. Open!

Veteran U.S. Open Champ David Howards looks like he's in the house.

What's unusual is that a player who gets a bye and wins one match is already in the money, before he hits his first ball. How sweet it is, as Jackie Gleason would say.

Maybe I missed it, but are there any females in this year's tournament?

that is a nice touch. and hopefully will continue this year?

but please help me wrap my cost-acct head around this - cause i had the numbers jivin', and now they AREN'T.

the payouts have been posted, for seding - as a $/dollar amt; not %/revenue.
payouts were initially based on entry fees.
entry fees income is confirmed @ 68.4%
so a 2/3 turnout.

only $50K in escrow? on $175K payout?
(i know, this shouldn't involve math, but i'm bored today)

where is the other $125K, to confirm the $ amounts guaranteed? will the % adjust, prorated? will they come o-o-p? wha - ?

Man, this tournament is wide open as far as who's going to get there.

I'd love to see an underdog get it. :D

And some of those $500 entry fees are not paid by certain players. Barry has to eat that.

so how is this year's Open, sustainable?

if i planned on attending the last 3 days, and heard (through the JAMvine, thank you!) that attendance was 68%, matches are running later cause there isn't enough space for tbls, etc - i would be inclined to....CANCEL.

If you haven't been to an Open, I'd definitely suggest going, though. The experience at Q-Masters is worth the travel time. ;)

It is a fun tournament for railbirds. I enjoyed each Open I went to. It was the week-long stay and expenses incurred that puts a bite on me going now. I don't have work coverage anymore, and I can't afford to take that much time off of work. It's only a 3.5-hour drive from me, and a beautiful drive, I might add. Virginia is a great state once you leave D.C. proper. The rolling hills, green grasss, trees, foilage, it's very scenic.

This tournament room, though, is way smaller than the Chesapeake Conference Center, unless they have remodeled. I was there when it was Holiday Inn. Now it's a Marriott.

whats the trick with dragging chart around???? I left click everywhere on page and it does nothing! everytime on that page no matter what tourney I cant get it to drag? help please
