Who are you pulling for?

Being on the young side of "old", and personally having my 'knowledge' outgun my skills 2 or 3 to 1 at this point in life..... I'm biased toward all the "old timers" still in the mix. It's fantastc to see Varner, Parica, Davenport, Albrecht and all the over 50 crowd doing so well.

I'm living vicariously!!

The young guns. It's not my fault, it's what I am, lol.
Plus it's my team name for VNEA

Shane all the way. It's cool to see Kim Davenport's name up there. But still, I'm pulling for Shane.

I REALLY want to see what happens to Earl's confidence and his game over the next few years if he actually manages to snap off another US Open. He might very well run over the world for the next few years once he gets that monkey off his back and proves to himself he still has the stroke that won all that stuff years ago.

I am pretty sure most of the pro players would rather see Earl trip, because if he wins this thing they might end up with a reawakened monster running sets out on them for the next few years.

This year, I'm pulling for the guys I know, and they're all young guns. I've just recently started playing with guys who compete on this level (5 of the competitors play in the same tournament as I do most Thursdays, and 3 of them are still standing). If I had to pick one of them, I guess I'd root for Brandon Shuff.

But also, it's awesome to see Kim Davenport having such a good run so far, and I'm pulling for him to keep playing good. And Earl Strickland making another run at this championship would definitely be something to behold, and so I'm pulling for that to happen.

No doubt, if Earl is 'right' ...... NO ONE wants to see him in their draw, if they are looking to win. His firepower was off the scale, and still can be!

I am torn. It would be unbelieveable for Earl to win again, but it would be awesome for Parica to finally win, but I am pulling for Donnie Mills. He played great last night and if that continues, watch out.

It is exciting to see Earl and Kim going strong. I'm ready to tune in for their matches.

In between orders of course :) I have lots of Cue-it-Up Cue Clips coming and I have to make room for them...it is keeping me busy!

Parica would be awesome as well.

In all honesty that guy deserves it more then anyone. He needs his US Open title and his spot in the HOF.

I'm pulling for the smooth criminal !

That way he will be officially crowned a tournement fag then..lol

I've been on Earl's bandwagon since the 1980's, well before some here were born! So for me, it's Earl, even though he's only 48.

BUT, how sweet it is to see Davenport (who, I believe, never got enough credit for his game), Parica and "The Little Gorilla", Nick Varner.

If Earl doesn't win, how amazing would it be to see one of the oldtimers pull this off! It may jump start pool again much like "The Hustler" did back in the day. Oh yea, I was 2 when that movie came out!

Also, Ralf is sort of a "tweener", being 41 next month. But he's a handful anytime he plays. Easy to root for and respect "The Kaiser"!

In the U.S. Open 9 Ball.....

Parica would be awesome as well.

So close.....

Third place in 1992, 1997, & 2001.
Second place in 2003 & 2005.

The men who win it are the ones who deserve it, but it's hard not to pull for "Amang". Not as much as pulling for Earl, mind you (:)), but he's a fan favorite nontheless.

1. Lee Van Corteza - this guy is amazing, and I think it would be cool for yet another Pinoy to strike fear in the hearts of many.
2. Ronnie Alcano - it's time to put his stamp on the global scale as well.
3. Shane Van Boening - my favorite American player.
4. Ralf Souquet - I always root for Ralf, classy gentleman and phenomenal player.
5. Jose Parica - sentimental favorite, always a bridesmaid.

I would like for Donnie Mills to go as far as possible. His game is awesome and he is gaining quite the reputation for his racking knowledge. He has a solid game and he manages to simplify the rack with his pattern-play. He is a gentleman as well and I would like for him to enjoy success at the highest levels of this game.

Parica

IMO, Jose is the best 60 y/o pool player on the planet, but I'm still rooting for Earl.

NO BRAINER_____MR STEVIE MOORE!!!!:confused::confused:

Shane Van Boening

or

Stevie Moore

As we get to know more of the players, it gets harder to choose between them. Most of them are just great folks and we're glad to have the privilege to meet/know them.

Good luck to all the players left in!

Has anyone been watching the ppv stream? Has it been worth watching? I have been so busy I haven't had the time. We have been considering paying for the last day, but not sure.
