Ultimate Pool - Florida Open

I am a big fan of Gerson, but after watching that match against David Alcaide I noticed that Gerson seemed nervy. While David seemed relaxed and looked like he was enjoying himself.

I have not seen the Spaniard smiling during a match in a long time.

That place is all 7 footers last time I was there (a few months ago). I think this is the day before the Ultimate Pool KC Open starts, so I'm pretty confident they will playing on the same 7 foot tables used in that tournament.
Ultimate Pool will be setting up the arena table a couple days before the event and that is where they will play the big match. 30 second shot clock, international rules. It'll be a great match!

The Florida Open starts Thursday, May 7th at 12:00 noon EST! This is arguably the most stacked field they've compiled yet. Both the Open and the Women's Open have a ton of big names, so the mixed pairs is also going to be tough! If you want to check out the players lists, visit their Facebook Page (Ultimate Pool USA). Very much looking forward to playing and watching all the great pool! Anyone else going to be there? I attached their broadcast schedule if anyone is interested.
Good luck to you Sir. 😎👍

I'm still catching up with old streams, but found several things interesting.

One player was allowed to use an extension during 15 second shot clock twice in a row during the same rack.

One player made only the 8 on the break and was allowed to continue shooting. That's being discussed in the commentary where I've paused so maybe there was a rules change and it's all good.

Either way, some entertaining outs so far...

(edited) The UP rule for a while was no continuation if only an 8 on the break. It came up in the first few UP events in the US.

They just changed that rule within the last two events. It used to be loss of turn, but now they are able to keep shooting if only making the 8.

I missed the double extension!
