Ultra Skin tips under the Microscope comparison.

I sent him five different tips about 2 weeks ago, one being a Kamui black, but I haven't heard anything from him since they were shipped.
Well what happened with the tests??? one enquireing mind wants to know since I put on a Ultra skin med. tip last week and love it so far.

He's probably real busy making that cue he talked about and hasn't had time to do anything else

just my 2 cents ( with some change left over)

Happy New Year to all

Hi guys

You are all some what right

This is what is going on for a little while.

I got the flu finals week an that ripped me apart for about 2.5 weeks. For whatever stupid reason this year I did not get the flu vaccine and it is the first time in my life I experienced a full force flu. It was horrible, I had no idea a flu can mess a 380 lbs guy up so bad. Any way when I got I've that last week I fell on ice trying to clear the driveway and broke my wrist. I am pretty overweight to say the least and even a minor fall usually results In something broken. I am very disappointed in myself for not taking better care of me. I have not actually messed with anything yet. I got the new lathe parts from Bassel, I got the pressure die an the ferule from Tom (btw Tom maybe next week if you have the time and the Patience you could give me some hints on ferule replacement. I received 5 tips from a very generous person but they are still in the package because I have not had time to mess with them. What truly struck me is that the flu makes you so tired when you did not really do anything all day. My cast is coming off in 2 weeks and I hope to be able to restart my microscope stuff and actually start building that cue I was planing of doing. So far the local cue maker has tapered a piece of oak and is waiting on me.

Sorry gain guys for the disappointing news and I know some of you were excited about the reviews. I give my word that I will do them very soon.
Also thanks for the tremendous amount of support I received from all the az community. I have learned so much valuable Information in such a short time. Because of you guys my learning curve has become very steep which will lead to me making a decent cue in no time.

Happy new year to all and I will keep you posted.

Dickie, who is this "knowledgeable source"?

So, the Moori's we're selling along with the Moori's that many other resellers are selling are "counterfeits made in China". Where do you come up with this stuff! More importantly why would you come up with it!

You seem to be a treasure trove of misinformation just like your uninformed buddy Joe Pechauer who we wrote about here:
http://www.cuecomponents.com/pocuetiandfe.html

Joe, I've been purchasing from you for years and have been 100% satisfied so please don't take this the wrong way. The last couple of orders of Moori III's I've purchased seem to have fewer layers (or maybe thinner layers) than what I was getting a couple of years ago. They just don't seem to be as "tall". I've never suspected that they weren't genuine. They install and play exactly like the older ones, IMO.

I'm wondering if this is where the rumors are originating. Have you noticed any difference in the manufacture of Moori's in the last year or so?

Wow what a surprise that it's confidential.

And you know what else is confidential, I was told (confidentially of course) that some cue makers and cue repair men are installing Ultra Skins and other quality black tips as Kamui's. Now, there's a revelation. Can you actually imagine any cue maker or repair man stooping to such a level! Can you Dick?

I wouldn't be surprised. After installing a few Ultra Skins, I had a couple of pool players comment that I should charge for a Kamui when I install an Ultra Skin. I told them that I would never do that as it's dishonest and I have to live with myself.

But I guarantee that it's happening. In some circles, ethics aren't important.

To think it is not happening at all would be to think everyone in the world is 100% honest, aint happening, beyond my control.

The simple solution is time. I truly believe more and more players are asking for the UltraSkinLayered for how it plays, not the cost.

I can remember a time decades ago there was a rumor Morri's mom was sick and the price of the tip not installed was $50.00. My personal belief is when I was buying Tins in the 1990's there was a craftsman named Morri making every tip and today its a corporation but that is strictly my personal belief.

Hi,

I have been installing a lot of Tom' tips and everyone loves them, not one complaint.

I would never tell someone it is a Kamui because I feel that would not be honest. Also I wish to promote Tom's brand Ultra Skin because that is beneficial to Tom.

Tom has been taking care of us CMs by giving us fair pricing. I pass that value on to my customers and they get a product that I feel is a superior product and this is a win win situation for everyone.

JMO,

Rick

Tom,
I know that guy has been out of the thread for a while, but I think someone is a little jealous that your tips are so popular and your so well liked to boot. I cut the kamui off my Z2 to install an Ultraskin, and love it! I have been playing with the Everest that came on my OB2 plus, just to try it like I bought it. I think I am going to cut it off and put an Ultraskin Medium on it right now just so I feel like I am supporting you just a bit more. I just happen to have a bunch of your tips laying around that I got for a great deal! Your a class act Tom! Holding your composure when Douchie was trying to rile you up and giving the pool community a great tip that wont break the bank! I applaud you!

I know how your always throwing little jabs about $30 pieces of chalk maybe you should make a $3 piece of chalk that is better! You were able to do it with the tips! lol ULTRASKIN FTW!!

I have put on hundreds if not thousands of these Ultraskins and really love them. They are a great economical alternative to the more expensive tips! They machine great, play great, and are very durable maintaining their shape over time! I recommend them to all my customers!
