Umm....is this for real?

i built one in the 1970's

i made a auto-cue in the 70's using the hawaiian sling principal, it got a lot of laughs, so 2 years ago i built another one using an coil spring in a hollow aluminum butt. just put the butt on the floor and push the shaft into the butt to cock it.
push it all the way in for breaking or push it in just a bit for softer shots. after the cue is cocked just aim and push the button that releases the shaft, it is a lot of fun.
i had a buddy that thought he could market it, so he had a patent att do some research, auto-cue or spring loaded cues have been made for almost 100 years. none to my knowledge have ever been taken serious. chuck

I love the video clip where she cuts the ball into the corner pocket and the guy says "perfect position" and you hear her respond "what are you talking about, perfect position? lol

They forgot to cut the audio for that part. :p

I went back and listened again. LOLz I think it's hilarious.

No. A decade a or two back there was a product called "The Fish Popper". I can't even find a picture of it now. You stuck a spring loaded device in the ground, cast your line from a rod, slipped the rod in the device and set the spring, and then laid back in a reclining lawn chair (straight from the commercial). It was sort of like a mouse trip, when tension from the line (a bit) pulled a little on the rod, the spring was released to set the hook and you reel it in.

Maybe they are legit for something like ice fishing, and may work in that application, I don't know. I just remember the corny commercial with the corny fishing pole used that was all plastic and looked like the short $10 kids fishing rod you buy a 4 year old.

Was it this one? Might come in handy for vertical jigging with multiple rods and keeping your other hand open for a "beverage".

"Perfect Position, What in the hell are you talking about? Perfect Position?"

Their own player or whatever she is to them (probably more like they are nothing to her), just flat out knocking them like the idoits they are. ROFLMAO

No. That looks like a fairly serious piece of equipment. The one I remember was like $19.99, was all plastic, and I disinctly remember it being called "The Fish Popper".

Thanks though...maybe the automatic hook setters actually have some use.
