Hi Folks,

Still have two unidentified player photos left. These were taken at the BC Open in Endicott (Binghamton), NY in the late 80's or early 90's. Many of you made suggestions but no solid names have come up.

Chris Braiman, new owner of East Ridge Billiards and myself want to put a plaque on each of the 60 photos on the wall with the player(s) name. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated!

Both these guys like vaguely familiar to me, like I've seen them before somewhere. You have to remember back then there were a LOT of good players in New York State and all over the East Coast. Maybe ten times as many as there are today.

It's still not Johnny Archer.

Not even close.

Yeah, he does not look anything like Archer in my opinion, and Archer was much younger (then the guy in the pic) back in the 80's or early 90's. I do not know, but he looks like a Spanish guy. Please take it easy on me if I am way off on his nationality. Looks like a Meucci cue he is using.

The guy on the left looks a bit like Tom Armstrong. My reference is seeing him several times in the early 70's when he was taking Jimmy Mataya around. Only a guess, what do you think Jay?

Were all the photos from the same tournament? It might be possible to find a players list for a specific tournament.

Bob,

Wish I could tell you. The photographers son and current room owner inherited the photos. He remembers being with his Dad in Binghamton. Just not sure which dates. Must have been around 1990. Gary Pinkowski, the promoter of the BC passed away many years ago. Doubt anyone still has that information.

He does resemble Tom, but it definitely is not him either. I knew Tom quite well. I think this same guy played in one or two of the Atlantic City tourneys as well. I just can't quite remember his name. If I could see the player's list I bet I could pick him out.

Jay,

One of our fellow members suggested Harvey Mason. He was a player in the Newburgh / Poughkeepsie, NY area and was quite accomplished. Do you remember him? Does the name ring a bell for anyone else?
