Unsettling Experience from this Weekend

It has come to our attention that a number of players and vendors had an unsettling experience dealing with a particular independent vendor at the Shooting Star Classic pool tournament. We’d like to make it clear that this person was an independent merchant and in no way was a representative of the Shooting Star Classic and its affiliates, nor was he associated with promoting or organizing the event.

Sincerely,
Shooting Star Classic

Mike & I are taking the high road on this one. You can contact me directly should you ever need a reference check. ;)

I am sorry to hear this. I have talked to the promotors and I can assure everyone that is was not anybody in my booth(All About The Game Room and The Cuestickman) or in the Old Time Billiards booth. The people from Tips Pro Shop were also wonderful. I was glad to meet you all. All About The Game Room did everything we could to make this event a possitive experience from working with the other venders and all the players. I feel that Mike and Samm put on a great event and in no way should this person be a reflection upon Mike and Samm. Congrats to all the players that placed in the money. Looking forward to be a part of this event next year.

This is why Samm needs to out the bums. Otherwise everyone at the event will have to come on here and say it wasn't me.

Beware of critters!!!!

There was a certain "Jackal" there that ruined a Gilbert shaft and a borrowed Samsara lathe. Might he be the one in question?

On the other hand the tournament was a great success and I am looking forward to next year.

Don't sweat it Samm. Anyone who knows you and Mike know you would not sanction anything that was off kilter. I do think you would be better served telling the story here now that it has been brought up.

No matter what you choose to do I am happy that your event went off and hope you do more in the future.

Correct, it was none of you. You were all a pleasure to deal with and we thank you all for coming.

Okay Samm, spill the beans. Who was it? We're all family right?

I have a female friend of mine who played in the tourney...she said she was having a tip replaced and the guy busted the shaft while putting on the tip. Not sure if that's what ur talking about.

Was that before, during or after she won the masters? Maybe there is something to "breaking a shaft" for good luck.

Since an independent vendor was referenced I'm guessing it's some rogue who may even advertise a product here on AZ in recent times. Of course, I wasn't there so it's just a guess

If breaking a shaft= good luck, I better bring a few extras to Galveston...but then again at about $200 a pop, luck better = $$$$$$$

What the hell are we talking about here? If you can't say, then why did you start this thread?

Yeah, saying nothing at all wouldve probably been better. Now the speculation starts and now everyone is suspect.

Come on, out em Samm its what they get.

As long as we're left to guess I'll take a stab that it wasn't a man but maybe a "machine" "O" promoting a product???
