Up for a bet on the Bar Box 9-ball Championship?

There are 8 remaining players in the US Open Bar Box 9-ball Championship. Darren Appleton is the favourite to win it, just like he did with the 10-ball Championship.

The other 7 players are Mitch Ellerman, Adam Smith, David Vaughn, Chim Compton, Brandon Shuff, Glen Atwell and the legendary Mark Tadd.

It's true double elimination, and I would like to bet on Darren Appleton for the Championship.

If anyone of you would like to bet that Darren will NOT win the Championship, please let me know. I am open to bet $ 20 - $ 200 on Darren. You get the field against Darren.

If you are not interested in betting on this whatsoever, then you don't need to post in this thread.

The matches can be sweated on www.theactionreport.com, for only $ 15.

Let the games begin. The window is open for anyone with a paypal-account and a good betting-reputation, except the poster "dynamite", of course.

I have to admit, I like the thought of 7 to 1 odds. (especially on a barbox)

PM sent.......bet made.

Bet confirmed with both Corvette and Ktown.

Jay: I know you like the chance of having Mark Tadd + 6 other players for the Championship... You know where to find me!

Roy,

I think AZB may need to charge you a 'rake' fee on all the pots you win on here. :) Have you quit your day job yet?

Hope to see you soon.

You're not talking about this:
Appleton Wins USBTC Ten Ball
Darren Appleton defeated Glenn Atwell in the finals of the 2009 United States Bar Table Championships at the Sands Regency Hotel and Casino in Reno,NV. ???
JoeyA

Nevermind, I see there are a couple of other disciplines. My bad. Roll on.

How could Darren possibly win another title?

Adam and Tadd are monsters on the bar box. I know Daz is Daz but those odds are sick. Bet confirmed.

Good luck Roy!

I know that you are NIT enough to try to get someone to accept bets on tournaments that are already finished, but I would never do that.

(Unless the other person really, really wanted, of course)

;)

If AZB covers my losses, I'll give you rake for my winnings. That is not as bad as it sounds

Haven't quit my day job yet, but if Darren keeps on winning I might consider to quit it and be his caddie on all events he goes to :D

Roy, The A HOLE.

No, I don't think Roy, THE A HOLE would do something like that.

I should have know better than to try and help you get a few more customers.

But now that you mention it, the bettors might want to check to see who is in the winner's bracket and who's in the loser's bracket. The losers might have to beat the winner a couple of times.

Good luck Roy, THE A HOLE! :D

You're still mad since you had to pay me after betting against Ralf Souquet? Even with 3 games on the wire, your horse couldn't make it...:p

I gave JoeyA "an offer he couldn't refuse". Dennis Hatch got 3 games on the wire in the final against Ralf Souquet at Turning Stone, and as we all know, Ralf won 13-6.

Joey "the Nit" was turning red when he found out that the match was a race to 13 and not to 9, like the other matches.

I havent seen the brackets but I assume Daz is in the winners bracket. He still has to win 3 in a row to win it and if he loses his next match then he has to win 5 in a row from there. If he wins his next one and then loses the next, then he must win his next 3 in a row to win the tourney.

I like the odds against him considering there aren't any weak players and its on bar boxes.

I am really sorry JoeyA, but not all Norwegians are A HOLES:D

Now, when are we going to have that 10ball match??

Joey,
I think that loss to Harriman reignited his desire to get back out there and kick some ass. He was pretty down after DCC - he really wanted to repeat as champion of the Straight Pool challenge. He took a little break and then decided he was ready come back over here - this guy is just an incredibly fierce competitor. I truly believe that he can win just about anything he sets his mind to.

accept ur offer

u know i have to take that for the usual roy. with the right odds, of course. he does have to be double dipped, after all. that should be worth some odds.

Wrong!

Darren is sitting in the Hot Seat. He beat Mitch Ellerman in the match and all 7 other players are in the losers bracket. Daz has to only beat 1 person 1 set without dropping 2 first.
