If Bergman was there I sure didn't see him..so he wasnt there for this weekend. Shane would have played him I'm sure...dont think he knows how to say no!
Bergman was there - we were trying out a new disguise for him and apparently it worked.

I would possibly like one of the bar tables they are selling but the asking price is a bit much - if you could help me out there, let me know.
Big Dogs is a huge place that to be a perfect environment would have to fix a few things.
It is easy to get to and easy to find, with ample parking. That is definitely a plus. Once inside, the equipment seemed to all be quite good and I didn't hear any complaints on the tables. Mostly Diamonds, with some Valleys and GCs so they didn't spare any expense there. Diamond lights over the tables as well. Some of the beer lights over the bar tables need to go. All in all, I banged balls for a bit and missed just as many in there as I would anywhere else. Nice spacing between the tables, especially the big tables. Enough tables to sit at as well for food and drink. I like the two sides - under 21 and over 21. However, if they are going to instill this rule - than it should be 100% of the time. You can't have one person's son allowed to go into the 21 side and than ban another. Not sure on the exact laws of Iowa and what the need for two sides is. If it is just to make security of under age drinking easier to police for the pool room, than it should be waived during a tournament atmosphere.
The pricing for pool was a litte confusing and probably not a good idea to have on a busy weekend. $10.00 all you can play all day - but we were at first told that this was for 'locals' only??? It's obviously a great deal but I don't see how you can again single out one group of people over another. The bar wanted an ID and a $20 deposit and when turning in the balls, the employee shift had changed and the new employee acted like he had no idea about a $20 deposit or where the money was. Also, we were told that there was no list to get on for an available table. I guess they were expecting you to wait and watch the tables until one opened up.
As I said, the place is huge and I like the setup. Cosmetically it needs some sprucing up with hiding some of the wires for TVs and lighting either behind the walls or table wiring wrapped within the chains for the lights. Bathroom was under construction but it didn't appear that there was that much more to complete but a few hours of work. The drink prices were good and mixed drinks were good & strong. An extra waitress or two during the event probably would have been a good idea but the ones they have were friendly and nice to look at. A number of us were in the back room on Saturday night, buying rounds of 6-7 drinks at a time and had to wait for a waitress to arrive a few times.
Food honestly leaves something to be desired. Frozen pizzas and pre made hamburgers in plastic wrappers are not fitting with the overall room. This is a huge place and I would think that a full grill would be found inside. I know the bar b q man that was brought in seemed busy so hopefully the room will upgrade it's food.
That's about it.
Your buddy Jamie Fenton is a typical pool player - wanting to write a check that his ass can't cash. THey woof up a game for $2600 on Friday night, even putting up $600 in show money. Then on Saturday, lower the bet to $2000. In St Louis, bets usually increase - not decrease. It is also good that his ego also has his game overrated by about a ball and a half. I am a terrible player and know it. Looping your cue only works for the Filipinos and hitting down on the cue ball every shot will make you miss eventually.
Jason Chance seemed like a decent & funny guy, good player and obviously good action. He should be having no problem hosting someone each weekend.
Richardson is also a good guy. Easy to gamble with.

Dont F with the pinoy's. Anything happen on Saturday night?
I stayed sober even though there wasn't much to do in Iowa. Another guy I traveled with remained sober as well. The third person in our group - well that is a different story.
I almost had to get out of the hotel room - Immediately
I appreciate all feedback, positive or negative, about how the weekend went and about our place. Most of the feedback I have gotten has been fairly positive. I know the TAR guys were happy, Shane was happy, and most customers were happy with everything. We were happy to have you and everyone else here for the event. Look forward to seeing you again for the next one.I would possibly like one of the bar tables they are selling but the asking price is a bit much - if you could help me out there, let me know.

Trusty Rusty is the man...Chef Jeff was in the house, hopefully didn't get carded too many times haha...Watchez got his cash back(Damn Gary)...1on1pooltourneys is a wild man(no more coin flipping with you sir)...$takehorse was cool(what's up with the bike?)...finally met Thecoats...oh hell list too long...it was fun though wasn't it boys...and yes I did go to work this morning and I am about to pass out right now.
There you have it...the Missouri crew taking over the Iowa board. I'm gonna go find a local bar or room in Galesburg, IL to steal from now...hasta luega.
I have got to hand it to this guy. Mikey Frost is one heck of a dude and he will create some serious action, which is good for any poolroom. Mikey put enough money in action in just 1 day to buy a small house in Malibu, get a new motorcycle, and still manage to buy me 2 beers. This guy is the nuts. Oh, and don't be scared Mikey, we can flip for $100 every time we see each other.

Jeff Livingston
How about everyone just shows up with their id's then we won't have that problem??? That means you too, Farley!!I appreciate it and you were in a great mood yourself. Did they get you at the door again??? Get a shirt made with your license on it really big and wear that to the pool room...you might not get in but it will be hilarious.![]()
The most action Mike Frost has put into play in around $2000. Is that enough to buy a house in Malibu? He does stir up a small amount of action, but not like Jason C. or some guys who were in here this weekend. He is rather small time!I have got to hand it to this guy.
