I have been hanging out a little (between poker games) with Mike and Adam Behnke. They have been coming over to Fatboy's pad and banging them around. I like both of these kids, and they both can play some pool. Mike just turned 21 and he is a PLAYER! Adam is 19 and another rising star. It's good to see some young blood coming into pool. I have to think Shane has inspired some of these kids to be pool players.
Mike is a sharp young guy, who is a sponge for information. He is very confident (could be construed as cocky) about his game, but I see that as a good thing. If you don't believe in yourself, who will? But he does have something to be cocky about. He is definitely "Major League" already. Shortstops beware!
We played some One Hole, and Mike is very raw at this game. But I pointed out a few things to him to recognize and he picked up on it immediately, and started using it against me. I can still play even with him now, and I'm balls below the top players, but Mike will surely improve rapidly at this game. I won't.
