Us mail is the worst! 😖

I've had nearly perfect results shipping books by USPS, but they're not 35 inches long. The single major problem I had was a foreign shipment and that was probably because I put the label on badly. And I've received damaged packages but that was due to flimsy boxes and no strapping tape.
hell Amazon I can see where the truck is driving ...
Yeah, that's neat. I just got an Amazon order and watched the map and it said I was next. They pulled up across the street and seemed to be repacking stuff and then left. Finally, the third time past my house, they left the package.

The USPS is underfunded and required to do expensive things like daily service to every house in the country. And provide cheap shipping for books. 👍👍👍

Naaaa they aren’t under funded. They are another government agency that doesn’t need to make a profit so they are incredibly wasteful . Just another reason why government should run a business. It’s easy when you can just take more money from taxpayers and not have to show a profit.

They need to get rid of at least half the chiefs and get some more indians. There Business structure is the worst reverse pyramid ever devised in the USA. We don't need a Post Master at every post office. They have a Post Office in Towns with only 250 population, 6 mile down the road another Post Office in a town Population 600. It is horrible how this is managed.

Just as I said in an earlier post they don’t care because they don’t have to. If they were a real business that had to show a profit it would be different

USPS should have been shit-canned years ago.

Privatized and allowed to chart it's own course.

Email and SMS killed their broken monopoly and they have never recovered.

UPS all day, I think it's the best value. I can only add that you should never use a round tube. I think a round tube in a rectangular box is the way to go. And the additional size doesn't bump the price up. The automated conveyor systems don't like round objects. Many of you probably know this.

Sorry to post this here but I need to vent. I bought a new to me p3 on eBay last wednesday. Great seller! Quick communication and shipped it within a few hours. I was scheduled to get it Friday. It didn’t show..since then nothing. You call them and they say it’s still on the way and they’ve opened a case on it and I’ll hear from someone .. crickets. The only thing it’s showing is it left the initial place it was shipped from which by the way is only 2 hours a way. If my wife wouldn’t have had doctor appointments the day I bought it I would have road tripped to get it but I just had to much going on that day. When I use Ups or amazon you get details .. hell Amazon I can see where the truck is driving it’s on but the usps nothing. It doesn’t help I’m terrible at waiting for things 😂. How you people order a cue and wait a couple years is beyond me

It took USPS 18 days to get a cue to me shipped from across the state. 4 hours away. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Pride in their work is no longer there. Just a job. Union job, so they can't be fired.

Knock on wood, FedEx in my city is my go-to. Only carrier that hasn't given me a headache.

Amazon seems to be the best shipper .. they are chic filet drive through of shipping. Lol
Here’s a recent Amazon purchase delivery. July 8 it left Baldwin Park, July 9 arrived Cerritos, July 10 arrived Cerritos, July 11 arrived Ontario, July 12 left carrier facility, July 13 arrived carrier facility then arrived again then left again, July 14 arrived carrier facility and arrived carrier facility, finally out for delivery and delivered. For days to get out of California🤣

From my understanding a few years ago, USPS tracking is/was an estimate of where your package is. It doesn't actually get scanned at each location. That's why it's often days off. Just be patient, it will most likely be at your doorstep in a few days.

UPS and FedEX, by contrast, is true tracking, where the package gets scanned at each stop.

Also for everyone, if you use PirateShip, you can buy USPS and UPS labels, then drop off the package at either USPS or The UPS Store, depending on which label you bought. It's a HUGE savings for both services. Using PirateShip, the price for both is about the same, usually within a dollar of each other. If you buy a cue from someone and they want to ship it USPS, tell them you'll buy the label and email them the pdf so they can print it. Then you go make an account at PirateShip and pay for a UPS label.

You also have to watch out for the cheapest UPS option, called "UPS Ground Saver". This service actually uses USPS for the last delivery mile, so you are still at the mercy of USPS. "UPS Ground" is the one you want. It uses UPS from the beginning to the end.

OP.... nothing new.... here they won't deliver to my home mail box, tho most others on my street get it to their door.
I have to go to the corner combine of boxes.
Such is life.
