I might put the over under at 770 for the final 16...snip.... I'll predict that nobody with Fargo less than 750 finishes in the top 16.

Looks like a miscalc. there.Strong as strong can be. Approximately 60% of the entrants carry a Fargo of 750+. A fan's delight!
Thanks for that. Yes, about 60% at 720+, but still a superb field, as good as any we've seen at the US Open (in my view, comparable to 2019).Looks like a miscalc. there.
Meaning that you predict that the lowest Fargo found among the last 16 will be 770, right? I'll go 758, but wouldn't it be nice if some lower rated player found their way to the round of 16?I might put the over under at 770 for the final 16

Yes, he was the lowest a year ago. My guess is that his Fargo was about 765-770 at the time but I just don't remember.I don't know what his ranking was at the time, but Rodrigo (Edgie) Geronimo is currently a 782 and I think he was the lowest of last year's top 16.

SJM Are you going to write the 9 ball ?Best of luck with your project.
No, I was just speculating on what a fair over/under number might be.758 is very specific, are you thinking of anyone in particular?
This is not a book, it's a proposed billiards tour.SJM Are you going to write the 9 ball ?
I well know that , I look forward to your writings , I enjoy them and I don't have the time to YouTube the US 9 so I read you... Thank you Stu... GuyThis is not a book, it's a proposed billiards tour.
Orcullo can't come and Hopkins can't win.Allen Hopkins, and Orcullo....Not on list.
Hopkins hasn't entered in some 15 years I believe. Same for Gabe, Buddy, Sigel, etc.But Allen has free entry for life, having won in the past. Kinda knew that about DO.
Quite a presence from Chinese Taipei, as we must call it.
Allen Hopkins played in last year's event. He lives in South New Jersey, probably a twenty-minute drive from Atlantic City, so with no lodging cost or entry fee, it was truly a free roll.Hopkins hasn't entered in some 15 years I believe. Same for Gabe, Buddy, Sigel, etc.
Off-topic, I wonder if the prior winners still get free entry with Matchroom?
Not as dead as it might be. 128th place gets $750 back -- same as the entry fee.My gosh there is a lot of dead money in there.
