US Open 9B October, 2022 -- Atlantic City

Other than Kazakis losing to Atencio, no big surprises or upsets. Was looking like Amber Chen had chance to upset Albin but Albin sped off in last lap to win 9-5

As mentioned a few times above, YouTube and matchroom.live also have the streams. YT has Table 2 and MR has both tables.

For Facebook, problem is viewers need to login into Facebook to view (whereas for Youtube, no need to log into Youtube) so someone at Matchroom probably forgot to enable public access sharing for the live stream/videos on Facebook. 😁

Well, Filler is behind Sayed 6-7 going to 9.

(They started about an hour late as their assigned table backed up with some slow matches. They eventually got put on a different table that had finished. That was the most delayed match of the day.)

love it so far. even phil yates is doing ok. it's great that they give info on other matches and side tables. they could do even more panning to side tables between racks imo, and not just to table 2.

first round matches are seldom interesting with the top pros, so i don't mind them showing closer contested medium pro matches on main table in the first round

Watched the De Luna - Woodward match yesterday on Youtube. It went hill-hill, Woodward winning it. A very good match between two top players. How they got matched up so early in the event (2nd Rd.) I don't know. They both should be seeded players.

I like the format for this event, 9 ball on the spot break in the box. However I will be interested to see how long this looks like it makes a difference. Shaw broke and ran 5 out of his 9. Melliings did 4 or 5 as well

I presume 50% b and r is in line with 1 on the spot. Obviously not everyone is doing those numbers yet

Brandon Shuff should be winning this match against Chua but has made some pretty bad positional errors.

SVB’s opponent Joseph Tate appears to be far stronger than his 698 rating.

Seems to be pretty common at this point that there will be an unknown/weaker player that will play out of their mind when they go against SVB.

It's possible this kid could end up beating Shane, and then not win another match.

He is only 16? Holy crap.

That 698 can be thrown out the window then as a bunch of his games will be from when he was like 13-14 years old.

does he train with Tyler Styer? His whole demeanor, stroke etc seem very reminiscent of Tyler.
