ESPN doesn't have any pool experts! (-:I watched the windows open show and Mike P was saying ESPN (actually ESPN+) is just picking up the MR stream and broadcasting it. So most likely it'll be the usual cast of characters and same production.

The world doesn't need any more pool experts. It needs more color and personality.ESPN doesn't have any pool experts! (-:
Don't forget Yates and McMullan.... the mosconi commentary is great as it is with scott, JJ and karl.
I think it's important to ESPN that they don't have to pay any experts. Also, they don't have to pay for any production if they use Matchroom's stream. I suppose it's possible ESPN got the stream for free. The benefit to Matchroom is that they get a lot more eyeballs in the US.ESPN doesn't have any pool experts! (-:
AI will have to generate it.The world doesn't need any more pool experts. It needs more color and personality.
I don’t know if you’re kidding or not but I would love for someone like him to get involved. Like him or not do you know how many viewers who are new or don’t much about the game would get their on our biggest event? I think it would be a huge push for the game. Can't wait for Pat McAfee to get involved.
This is going to be on ESPN+, not ESPN. How is that any different than than any other streaming service? I think it's $40 a month.
I'll wait & watch it on Youtube free.
I believe if you already get ESPN through your cable subscription, you can watch ESPN+ for free on the ESPN appThis is going to be on ESPN+, not ESPN. How is that any different than than any other streaming service? I think it's $40 a month.

I'll see. I don't normally watch anything on espn. ThanksI believe if you already get ESPN through your cable subscription, you can watch ESPN+ for free on the ESPN app
Bingo. There will be interviews, and there will be ads. They may actually even pay an expert or two to talk about it.Here is perspective I think some people are missing about Mosconi being on ESPN plus. I am a fan of WWE and they are also on ESPN plus. During the week of a PLE (Premium Live Event), various WWE talent do interviews during a number of the ESPN shows. Usually the first hour of the PLE is live on either ESPN or ESPN 2 and then the rest of the show is on ESPN plus. As people has stated, ESPN plus is their streaming platform and here is why it makes sense to be on streaming. No time constraints. Your show can be 2 hours and 15 minutes, or 2 hours and 45 minutes. With traditional ESPN, you have to stick to a predetermined timeframe, unless your MLB or the NFL. The last time pool was on ESPN, it was all recorded to fit into a timeslot. Back in the day, WWE was on pay per view and had a "hard out time" where as now, they don't. They can go whatever time they want. That is why it makes sense for Mosconi to be on the streaming platform. Can you image the week of Mosconi Cup players like Jayson Shaw, Joshua Filler, SVB, and Fedor being on ESPN First Take with Stephen A Smith? I think the ESPN deal could be more then just showing the even on their streaming channel, it could be promotion too. If that is the case, then it is more mainstream promotion pro pool has ever got in the US. And for those that will "just wait to watch in free on YouTube", you may not be able to watch the full event on YouTube afterwards. You maybe be able to see highlights, but not the full event per the new agreement.
I have ESPN and ESPN2 through Dish Network and cannot get ESPN+. You have to have Disney, Hulu+ or ESPN Select/Unlimited.I believe if you already get ESPN through your cable subscription, you can watch ESPN+ for free on the ESPN app
Oh- I wasn’t aware of that. I wish the stream would be more widely available- will still reach more of an American audience thoughI have ESPN and ESPN2 through Dish Network and cannot get ESPN+. You have to have Disney, Hulu+ or ESPN Select/Unlimited.
It will be a regular Matchroom stream. My hope is they have good talent on the mic, that talks at the age level of its viewers, which the majority I'd think are not pool players.
My comment was more in hope than tongue-in-cheek. I love his NFL analysis (especially as a Giants fan watching him jump on Cam Scattebo's hype-train last season). I don't care too much for him ruining WrestleMania main events. His studio looks quite big. Maybe Matchroom should arrange for a table to be delivered to the Thunderdome.I don’t know if you’re kidding or not but I would love for someone like him to get involved.
