US Open Bound

Maybe that’s how to keep pool matches on track, time wise.

Make both players wear diapers and it’ll cut out the bathroom breaks. 😳

Astronauts, cosmonauts, everyone wears adult diapers.

There should be an diaper inspection by the ref every match.

Imagine the sponsorship money from a pro sport that endorses adult diapers.

Its thinking outside of the box. Pool
needs more of that.

Nice to hear. Make sure you say hi. It's a great show and nobody produces an event nearly as well as Matchroom.

PS I still have you on my invite list at Derby City, too.
Hey Stu remember to ramp up your clapping,I'll be watching you on Billiards TV some day.

congratulations on your nomination for the worlds most abstract and prolific intellectual.

I'm your age, so If I am headed towards the most Important tourney of my life, I'm gonna wanna go someplace low profile and practice. Check all the boxes with no "eyes" over my shoulder. Make it close to the event locale so it is not a drag to drive any distance,(fatigue).
All that said: there is a place in Allentown,Pa. that had a few nice 9 footers. Been ages, but if I remember right it was a bowling alley or next to one,.... something like that. Money matches there,(A speeds & short-stops). I heard Daz had stopped in on occasion when he lived near there.

At age 63 making a bucket list trip and Heading to US Open in Atlantic City. Leaving out of Kentucky and got about 9.5 hour journey. Leaving out on Saturday morning and Gonna drive 5 to 7 hours and hoping to find a good place to enjoy good meal and play quality Diamond 9 footers. Reaching out to my AZ community for pointers of a good place to spend an evening and rest up. Will start looking after getting thru Cumberland Maryland. Any leads appreciated
You might consider starting the drive on Friday. I know I take a while to play well after a long drive.

So far the only place mentioned on your route with a Diamond is Adolini's in Waynesboro, PA. There must be some other Diamonds between Cumberland and Atlantic City.

Anyone from Philadelphia? Baltimore? Any Diamonds in either area?

My plan is to hit the paved trail extremely early on the 24th, and get there during the afternoon. It's roughly a 10hr drive for me, so it will be rest stops only. A solid night's rest should be more than adequate. 🤞

If I manage to get on the main table and win a rack. I expect you to run down and high five me Stu.... ;)

Yes i agree and i think will take your advice. My name came up on the wait list and I have never been to US Open. My life long pool buddy gonna take off with me and we gonna make the best of it.

When I was in a similar situation, the hardest part for me was to shut out all of the distractions/situations going on around me. Try to focus on the table and bringing your arm through straight. Easier said than done. Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff. There's bound to be small stuff that you can't do anything about.

Markley Billiards in the Philadelphia suburbs has all brand new Diamonds. Half 7' and half 9', including 2 9 footers with 4 1/18" corner pockets, which I think is the MR spec.

Here is the address, if it is near your route:
1713 Markley Street
Norristown, PA 19401
610-278-1595

There are also a couple places in Delaware with Diamonds.
