US Open Gambling Updates (please add)

Finally made it down to the Open last night and went to Q-Master around 11:30 PM. It was quite crowded. I saw Donnie Mills, Alex Pagulayan, Ronnie Alcano, Corey Deuel, Shane Van Boening, Mike Dechaine, Roberto Gomez, Darren Appleton, Lee Van Corteza and Ronnie Wiseman to name a few.

I stuck around until 3:00 AM and only saw Alex P. playing someone whom I did not recognize a goofy game of one pocket. I think Alex was spotting him 15-4 for $600/game and winning. This guy could not play at all!

Shane was warming up by himself but it was still impressive to watch him practice inside english and kick shots.

I really hope Sylver Ochoa shows up. I love watching him play one pocket.

Will be back tonight and hope to provide more.

Alex was playing Dippy Dave. Supposedly for $1000 per game. I wasn't paying attention when I was there, but I do know that Dippy 3-railed a ball in and then made a hanger to win a game.

In addition to the names listed, Shaw, Boys, Morris, Raj, Klatt, Morra, Shane, Gomez, and about 10 others were also there.

Well from what I have seen, I think "Dippy Dave" is appropriately named...:)

I am glad to see he shows up to these affairs with his poker bankroll.....it must be like blood in the water for the sharks......can you imagine the excitement for the gamblers?

Alex & Dippy still going at it at noon today. Alex is up 7 games. At some point they went up to 1.5/game. playing 17-4.
 
Alex left Q Masters after his all nighter, washed his face, changed his shirt, and played his set at the Open. He won 11-3, and immediately headed back to continue his gamblingathon at Q Masters.

Alex has more heart than anyone I've seen, personally.

Actually I believe he won his match 11-6. At any rate, he's back at Q-Masters playing Dippy again, playing 17-4 for $1K in the middle.

Ronnie Alcano & Shane just started a set of 10-ball, rack your own, race to 17 for $1K in the middle.

Justin (JCIN), Borana, Dave and I are on our way there as soon as Donnie makes his opponent cry with this 'rack your own' nonsense. Say hello when you see us.

Looks like THE DONNY is struggling right now. Hope he gets in a groove soon.

He figures he can make more playing Dippy than the tourney I bet. It's just after the money is gone or when you have enough you think about the titles and your legacy later on in life. Thats when the action wont be worth it. It's a week long event, why not wait until you are out or later the beginning is the most important part. No tougher grind than the Open in pool.
