Vegas Apa singles....

I lived there for a year and half.Aside from buffets, wich I think are overrated, what else are you looking for? sights? activities? bars/clubs?

alittle bit if everything.. i would like to see a few shows.. maybe comedy or maybe magic... i heard some are very worth it and some are not and the best place to get the tickets for the shows.. should i try and get them on the net or is there a better place to get them there.. or wherever..

like the Tournament of Kings at the Excailbur is 70 bux.. which section do people recomend as the best section and is there a place to get them cheaper then $70?

i also would like to see the Blue man group.. and a friend recomended i see magician Paul Vigil and Mac King.. he said mac kind is usually free..

There's a huge auto-collection at The Quad (formerly the Imperial Palace) Use Google and you can get free tickets online.
A show that was surprisingly good was Carrot Top at the Luxor. I honestly couldn't stand him when I would see him on tv talk shows but we got tickets to his live show and he was very funny.
The free tickets to Mac King you have to buy a $10 drink. It's a entertaining afternoon show. Where are you staying?

The Riviera from the 22nd to the 1st.. Please explain exactly, I would rather buy the 10$ drink then pay the 30 for tickets

The show "O" at Bellagio is one of my favorite shows that I have ever seen, and I have seen most shows in Vegas.

As mentioned, buffet at Bellagio is awesome. But go on the weekdays and you will save about $10 or so versus during weekend. The food is practically the same.

We will have a big booth there. If you have any questions, feel free to stop by. We know Vegas really well.

If you go to the Total Rewards desk at either the Flamingo or Harrahs (where Mac King performs) ask for the free tickets. Or even the concierge will probably give them to you. They are also usually handed out along the strip as well. The fine print on the ticket says free with the purchase of one drink minimum $9.95. Once at the theater take the ticket buy a drink and you get admission. It's a family friendly show.

Vegas

For local tournaments check out

For local tournaments and places to play. One of my favorite places was dealers choice on Spring mountain road that have a couple diamond bar boxes, and pretty good tournament.

For food I have a few places that I recommend. Ellis island Monday-Thursday for their Ribs and their hefeveisen. Broadway Pizza. Memphis barbeque. And Toby Keith's in Harrahs. Good food and good music.

FOR ANOTHER AMAZING TIME..... GO TO FREEMONT ST. I truly cannot express that enough.

If you're looking for a great place to play off the strip ... Mickey's Cues and Brews is a really nice room. Have a great trip and let us know how everything turned out.

BCAPL nationals in July

We are at the Rio.

There is a free shuttle every 20-30 minutes that goes to Caesars and Harrahs.

BTW - July is not a lot hotter than May.
And inside the pool tournament rooms is the same - around 75 degrees!

Also there are two real good specials: all the buffets you can do in 24 hours (around $45 or so). Also for $99, all the shows you can do n 2 days.

I think I have this right, I am going by memory.

My wife was advised to catch the bus in front of the Riveria ($7 per person, all day) and see the Strip. We rode down to Fremont St, looked around briefly, and reboarded the bus for the other end. She took notes of where different places were located as we went. Eventually we ended up back at the Riv. A couple days later, while I was playing in the Masters, she and another gal went sight seeing/shopping. The initial excursion gave her a very good idea of where she wanted to go. Cheap too!!! Fremont St after dark, especially Fri or Sat nite is an must!!

Grin. I talked to the maintenance guy twice who was in charge of the temperatures in the Royale and Grande. He showed me the actual temps, one day the Royale was 67 and another it was 68. Hope the Rio is warmer.

You are correct about Fremont Street. You MUST be aware of where you are at all times. You DO NOT want to wonder off on one of the side streets. There are no "street people" on the main streets anymore. The city and county have moved them off to the side. Out of sight to the tourists. Pay attention to your surroundings!!!!!

Scott, I wanted to go on the roller coaster on the stratosphere ever since I heard about it.. But after doing research the last time I went to Vegas I believe it's no longer up there, although it rained the day I wanted to go there so we never made it...

Being from N.E. I don't think about stuff like that LOL, you make a good point. And the kids wear black pants and shirts, won't be too good for them outside.

Also being from NE, I don't think about it either. Two Augusts ago I walked from the Riviera all the way to the far end of the strip...I think it is about 3 miles. Maybe less. That was at about 2 pm, and it was 112 degrees that day. Believe it or not I quite enjoyed it.
