Call Mark Estes with the BCA, he runs the Diamond 7ft pool league in Vegas, he can tell you about every tournament in Vegas.obrien714 said:

Is that Marvelous Mark 'The Arm' Estes??? Formely of Pinke's in Colorado Springs??? Man, I would give up a tooth to see that guy again. He's one of the biggest influences that got me into pool.
I thought that was the case...but usually there's a full week in between BCA and VNEA. Guess not this year. The ACS tournament, IIRC, is just after the OP leaves Vegas too! Oh well...better luck next time!

i run around with mark all the time out here in Vegas. wayneward was telling us tonight that he was mentioned on here and told him that someone referred to him as "the arm." he about fell out of the booth at the bar tonight laughing. said he hasn't heard that name in 20 years and he proceeded to tell all of us the story that got him the name of the "the mighty arm" on his super hot trip to vegas that led to his big swing on craps ... and more on blackjack.
he wanted to know who you were and who brought that name up. hit me with some info and i'll let him know who you are. i think wayne was going to forward this post on to mark at the office

The schedule for the Riviera shows:
May 1-3 - 2008 APA National Singles
May 7-17 - BCA National 8 Ball
May 22-31 - VNEA International
June 7-14 - ACS National 8 Ball
It looks like we're getting ready for approximately 6 solid weeks of pool at the Riviera EXCEPT the few days you'll be in town between the VNEA and ACS.
The schedule for the Riviera shows:
May 1-3 - 2008 APA National Singles
May 7-17 - BCA National 8 Ball
May 22-31 - VNEA International
June 7-14 - ACS National 8 Ball
It looks like we're getting ready for approximately 6 solid weeks of pool at the Riviera EXCEPT the few days you'll be in town between the VNEA and ACS.
And it was I in Colorado Springs (been here since 71). I was the one that started giving mark the wild 6/7/8 in 9 ball at the first pinkys. Then the wild 7/8 then wild 8 and wild 8 and he then moved to Denver/New Pink room.

Bring lots of money to Sin city nothing is cheap any longer. gone are days of Deals on Rooms, Food, etc.
Do a search on a particular city, player, or topic and you’d be surprised on how far back in time it will take you. I find some very interesting topics from years back.
