Very rare ivory ginacue

Sam

Are you saying that the resectioned forearm on this cue is not a significant repair in your opinion?

Thanks again

Kevin

Wow... who ever told that did not tell the all the truth..... I don't want to mention names here.

Sam

I don't know what names have to do with anything. The truth that I think I know is that the cue you are trying to sell has a major repair that was done to the forearm, probably a complete resection. That repair was not performed by the original cuemaker. That repair has a significant impact on the value of a collectible cue and that repair is not disclosed in either your AZ for sale post or your eBay auction offering.

Thanks

Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I was about to bid on that cue!! But now there's no way unless he sends to Cue to Ernie first.

Sam and I had a discussion about this cue last night. As a result of that conversation, Sam decided to end his eBay auction and apparently withdraw the cue for sale here. Perhaps the cue will reappear with a slightly more detailed description of the repaired forearm. Perhaps Sam will just sell the cue to one of the interested parties that knows of the repair. Perhaps Sam will choose to go another route altogether.

Thanks

Kevin

One thing for sure, its NOT NOT NOT NOT original, which is too bad because that was a great great great great cue before it got butchered up.

It really is an awesome cue though, too bad about the repairs.

I think the seller just got in too deep with this cue. Probably bought it witout knowing about the forearm repair, he certainly didn't know the butt sleeve was replaced. It sucks buying an item and finding it wasn't all it was supposed to be. He did the right thing withdrawing the listing here and with Ebay.

I'd still be willing to purchase this cue, just a fantastic design and it deserves to be restored as well as it can be. A very significant cue.

Sam you know my offer is still good, just get ahold of me if you want to complete the sale.

Why did Samharli delete all of his posts?

Why is he being sneaky?

Why would anyone buy anything from him?

What a troll...

I'm just guessing because the one guy that could tell has yet to see this cue but it looks to me like 2 Ginas melded. I think the butt cap and the joint (and the top of the forearm) were attached from a different, lesser, older Ginacue. I know that butt cap is wrong and I have serious doubts about Ernie putting a steel joint and using his red block standard rings on a cue with that much ivory. Just conjecture, but that cue is very rebuilt and not by Ernie.

Thanks again

Kevin

Sam put a lot of money in the cue when he bought it. He wasn't being sneaky, he just thought the cue was original.

I'm sure that's the way it is and it happens to the best of us.We all make mistakes. Its what we do moving forward from there that counts towards who we are. Some of us take responsibility for our mistakes and some look to pass them on to the next. I've never said anything bad about Sam. The reason I know about the forearm was Sam was pointing it out to people as he got close to a deal. I questioned his waiting that long to disclose and he agreed with me and shut it down. I'm sure when he bought it and made the original offer of sale he had no idea of the truly drastic nature of that repair.

Thanks
