Daz said he wasn't interested in a long set format.
He almost blew a fuse going to 13...if he had to go to 50, he might decide to go for a long walk around game 40.
The TAR format is no longer super long races like he played Hatch in. Each night is an individual race to 25, which is the equivalent of playing about two races to 13 in a tournament in one day. He might not be so adverse to that and what his thoughts were after a race to 100 do not quite equate.

I wonder what the people of Qatar think of that...maybe they don't care? Maybe they do? I have no idea how their culture reacts to that kind of stuff. It's an incredible tourney & hopefully they don't feel slighted.
It's great to see emotion after a hard-fought match, but its another thing to jump on the table & stomp around. The commenters on youtube agree.
EDIT: I have to laugh that any time a question of sportsmanship comes up, Earl is quickly mentioned. He's become the standard by which others are measured...in abhorrent behavior.

Appleton showed his sportsmanship first by congratulating his opponent first for the tough game he played, then proceeded to jump up onto the table.
Earl on the other hand, after the 9 ball sunk, he hopped onto the table, then shook bustamantes hand.
From this, it goes to show what is more important to the player, sportsmanship or celebration
Umm not exactly. First he runs around fist pumping and screaming and then he gets around to congratulating his opponent.
Very different, Earl played Django in the finals- who had just lost his daughter. Many people felt Earls celebrating should have been toned down due to the tragic incident.
It would have been cool if he had set his cue on fire.
That could be one of the silliest things I ever heard.
That slow motion of his celebration was the bomb! LMFAO! :thumbup::thumbup:
