I had a wonderful Burt Schrager cue that I bought of Rich Ralph in 1984, he had played much with it, but I used that cue from 1984 to 2002, when it was Lost/stolen. Ever since I have been playing with every high-end production cue and shaft from Schon, Mezz, Meucci w/ Red Dot/Black dot and OB-1 and Predator 314 & Z Shafts. STill nothing has come close!! The only Cue I have hit with that did was a Tim Padgett, I since found out he apprenticed under Burt and others.I also heard that he hardly makes cues anymore due to some business deal gone bad or something, but if you have any Cues by these 2 gentlemen could you please submit them to me here or even better my Personal email: malibumikemurphy@hotmail.com
Thank you!

Bert Schrager......RIP my Friend!!!!!!

Bert Schrager: Inducted 2005

Bert started building cues in the 1960’s and is credited with helping many up and coming cuemakers. We won't list names, but it would be a who's who list of higher end smaller cuemakers who spent time in Bert's shop. Bert has always been very helpful to the beginning cuemakers and that is one thing the ICA stands for. Bert got his start in cuemaking from his close friend Harvey Martin who is also an ICA Hall of Fame member. Bert was one of the earlier cuemakers to break into the high end cue market and one of the first few to crack open the Japanese market. Many famous people have had Bert build cues for them. He never went the CNC route and has produced some very high end cue designs with just a pantograph. He is credited with popularizing the 6 point cue design. Bert was our first living member to be inducted. His wife Pat has done much of the beautiful pantograph inlay work on their cues. At 80 years of age he was still at his labor of love: Building Cues.

Kenny Carfagno just picked up a Schrager loaded with pink ivory wood inlays. It even has pink ivory fancy JP's. I don't know his price but the cue is good looking and proportioned well. the weight, handle diameter and balance are classic Schrager. 267-257-8323

Here's a Padgett that plays awfully sporty and looks sharp, too... If you have any interest, let me know and I'll get you some specs, etc. The price is real nice on this cue!

Tim PADGETT is at it again!

Tim PADGETT!!!!!!!
That's right he is at it again! He trained under both Burt Schrager and Ernie of Ginacue and was a Pool legend in the San Fernando valley, right up there with Mexican Ron Rosas! I can hardly wait to see his new work! Though I know I wont be able to afford it! Almost bought his "Bat" cue for $5,000, wish I had!
