This cue will be for sale once identified and maybe refinished if advised to do so. It looks to be stained curly maple forearm with straight grained bolo? MOP 4 position flower pattern inlays. 3/8 pin going into linen bases phenolic joint. Ferrule matches joint with same material. Butt cap came without bumber seems to be delrin. Looks similar to an older tascarella but I highly doubt that.. That's all I know about it please help!!

Seen this on ebay last week.........you must be the one that got it...............it looks like a old adams cue OR IMPORT........i sold one a few years back..........$150=250 in good condition if it rolls straight. LOOK AT THE FLOWERS..............A HOLE IS DRILLED THEN THE FLOWER INSERTED, IF YOU LOOK CLOSE YOU CAN SEE THE GAPS......JOSS NEVER DID THAT TO MY KNOWLEDGE, I HAVE SEEN IT ON SOME IMPORTS AND ADAMS IMPORTS THE OLD STUFF...........NICE OLD CUE.

Aside fromm the buttcap not looking orig, neither does the wrap. If that is the case, I'd go ahead and pull the wrap off as that might reveal the maker.
What sets this apart is it's apparent age, combined with a phenolic collar, and a big-pin (although the 3/8-10 is the most commonly used, especially 70's-80's).
This cue looks like a combination between a Palmer and a Joss, although I doubt it's either. Joss would've never released inlay work like that, and Palmer preferred different joint pins usually.
Maybe semi-early Mali or Viking, or even Adams...?

I would say it is most likely an Adams..Look in the Blue Book 3rd Edition at Adams..Pg 102, Second cue down..The Airline cues..Take a look at the inlays on the United cue..They look very similar to those on your cue..Not sure what you would call them..Just the round ones with the scalloped edge..Nice cue though..Best Regards..Dan

i'm glad this thread happened. awhile back someone posted a plain jane bem cue with a 3/8-10 pin and stitched collars. i bought it thinking it might be an old mali but it wasn't. after seeing the bluebook pictures, i am convinced what i have is a julio stambolini.
