Can the Mods. please move this thread to the main forum?
I believe we have brought up many valid points on this thread,
one of which is that this Thread does not belong in the W/FS section :smash::dance::speechless::shrug:

WOW.... THIS THREAD IS LONG

MY THOUGHTS......

I AGREE THAT THERE SHOULD BE SUB SECTIONS. COLLECTABLE CUES, AND T-SHIRTS DON'T BELONG TOGETHER.

I AGREE THAT THERE SHOULD BE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INFO THAT IS POSTED WITH A CUE/ITEM TO ELIMINATE PEOPLE HAVING TO ASK QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ANSWERED.

PICTURES SHOULD BE A REQUIREMENT AS WELL SO PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO ASK FOR THEM. (AT LEAST DECENT QUALITY)

EACH THREAD SHOULD HAVE A PRICE

I AGREE THAT TOPICS SHOULDN'T BE BUMPED MORE THAN ONCE A DAY, OR EVERY OTHER DAY.

THE THREADS SHOULD NOT HAVE TIME LIMITS, AND SHOULD NOT BE DELETED. THEY ARE A GREAT SOURCE OF INFORMATION, EVEN AFTER A CUE SELLS.

WHY CAN'T I BUMP ALL MY THREADS AT THE SAME TIME? WHY DOES IT MATTER IF I BUMP ONE AN HOUR, OR ALL AT ONCE?

Marcus <--- STILL NOT SURE IF I'M DEALER, A FLIPPER, A WANNA-BE, OR A TRUNK DEALER.

I do not believe it is out of line to bump all your threads at once... but only every 48-72 hours is my suggestion.

At any rate, there are some that believe this thread does not belong in the section for which it pertains... so I would suggest the mods move it, and we all move on. This is my last post in the thread, although I enjoyed the discussion and ideas.

See you in bumpville!

I do not believe there should be sub sections. Some times people shopping for a particular item might decide to buy another item that they see.
It is called an impulse buy.
Plus it would just make more work for the already underpaid moderators to make sure everything is in the right section. JMO.

It would be nice if there were sub sections. Cue/Case/etc.
All sold items should be closed and moved to archive section.
I think subject line should include what you are selling, not some vague "cheap cues for sale."

Maybe some basic requirement when selling.
Pictures (as Marcus mentioned)
Length, weight, etc..
It will take out the unnecessary bumps from the potential buyer with questions.

THEN WE WILL HAVE TO AGREE TO DISAGREE.......

IMO, CUSTOM COLLECTABLE STUFF SHOULD NOT GET PUSHED TO THE BACK BEHIND SHIRTS AND CHALK HOLDERS. I AGREE THAT EACH HAS A PLACE HERE, BUT I DON'T THINK IT SHOULD BE TOGETHER.

EVEN WHEN I WAS DEALING IN MEUCCI'S AND PRODUCTION STUFF I FELT THIS WAY. NOW THAT A LOT OF THE STUFF LISTED IS SMALL STUFF IT MAKES IT EVEN HARDER TO SELL A HIGHER END ITEM THAT IS ALWAYS PUSHED BACK.

I FULLY AGREE..... ALTHOUGH I HAVE A LOT OF STUFF LISTED, I KEEP MY BUMPS TO EVERY FEW DAYS OR SO.

YOUR AVATAR CHICK IS AWESOME! I HAD TO GO DO A GOOGLE SEARCH......

I AGREE THAT EACH THREAD TITLE SHOULD BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC.

I'm not sure either

Marcus I'm not sure what your title is either but HONEST-FAIR-and a person with more Tascarellas and some Really nice SZAMBOTI'S comes to mind!!!!! You -Vinnie Babarooch(Troy)- Bushwhacker(Gary)- Hangemhigh(Tommy) and Cue Caps(Alton)-DACUE(Dave)-Boradriver are some of my favorite sellers here! Yep all are really great guys!!! As for the For Sale section I think it is just fine as it is and one thing for sure we don't need more RULES we just need to follow the ones already in place! As for a seller bumping his thread if it is a couple pages back I think he should be able to put it back on page 1 even if it is 10 bumps a day! I buy my stuff here on AZ because we have alot of HONEST people here and unlike eBay scammers are few and far between. Without AZ my collection of Engles and nice cues would not be what it is today, For that I thank you that have helped me, You know who you are. I met Walker here and we play every Saturday they don't get any better than Walker. Ron

OOOH OOOH OOOH Mr. Kotter,,, There is nothing for sale in this thread!!!

Bump all you want...it doesn't bother me.

For sale threads should not be deleted.

It would be great to have a For Sale Cues and Cases only section.

I wouldn't mind paying a For Sale listing fee.

But you never sell anything. Just keep them all for yourself!!!:D

Wanted for sale section

Ok guys, here is my 2 cents. This place AZ Forums is incredible.Everyone that surfs thru here on a daily basis or not so daily has an avenue for billiards that has never been before.I realize that life aint perfect and niether is this site. But to put things in perspective for everyone, just imagine this great site, resource, opportunity not existing! How would you all sell or market your product?Just as big Gov.Be carefull what you ask for. This place is great.Ever seen a Tascarella in the local pool hall? How bout a Mottey,White,or a Cognoscenti?I have not been a member for a great length of time but I will say I have bought 2 cues on this site that total about 2000.00.To some thats chicken feed,to me thats a lot.All I know is that if it was not for this site and the good folks on this site I would have some Schon's and some Joss's.I did not even know who Scruggs or Cochran was before I came to this site.So for you folks that are and have been in this Biz for a long time, hats off to you and good luck in your endeavors but be carefull what you ask for,you might get it.Like a shot in the foot!

jlloly post

That is SO true. A year or two ago, a nice cue at a decent price would only last a few hours. Now, you almost have to give something away, and even then, it is a really lengthy process. Lots of folks are just not taking the plunge right now. It is tough. I hope we have a recovery soon.
Joe

Joe, I fully agree with the points you make. Yes, once or twice a week, I have bumped my cues being sold by Marcus, and lately I have resisted bumping all of my cues and chose to bump less cues at a time, to not offend fellow AZers. As Joe says, the major problem is the very severe slowdown in the cue market. I have had some of my cues posted for over 6+ weeks and no sales, so I am considering pulling them off of the market and posting a few new ones. As for Jamie's post, this discussion has been needed for some time, but particularly in the extensively depressed cue sales market since January. Thank you Jamie!! All of us can only hope that the sales market will soon improve. Paul Del Giudice.

Jamies Post about AZ conduct

I believe that if AZ would create "sub-forums" for pool related products other than "pool cues", this would be very beneficial for the majority of AZ Forum members, and viewers. Allowing various pool related products to be included in the same Forum with Pool Cue Sales has created the kind of problems Jaime and many others have mentioned. I believe it is time for AZ to seriously consider doing this. As for the Club Membership annual fee matter, AZ should poll its members and request their comments. Thanks Jaime, for "stepping out". Paul Del Giudice.

Paul, I like your idea of separate sections in the Wanted/For Sale section for Cues, Cases, Tips and accessories etc. This would make it much easier for buyers and sellers. Right now we have a large pool of pool related items being listed and bumped and since the Forum is growing it's hard to manage it with so many new threads and bumps to old threads going on daily. It might even be a good idea to separate the cues into 2 groups like <$1000 and >$1000 cues.

10 pages wow, no time to read thru everything...

There are mods in here? if not, appoint a handful...

Limit each thread to 3 "self" bumps... or there abouts then lock the topic.. is stays in the forum and moves back but is still availble via SEARCH FUNCTION... , and same as craigslist "report" duplicates there is a report thread button for each post (I should know, my funny pictures get reported/removed all the time, lol)

I like it just as it is and BUMP it as you see fit ! I think if the OWNER of AZ wanted it this way it's fine with me! For those that don't like it as it is why don't you spend a little cash and list it on eBay ! AZ is free, isn't that good enough for ya? Why do the RULES have to change, and while they are changing the RULES what if they as eBay start charging to list it here! I BUY not SELL and unlike eBay we have MARCUS to do ESCROW if we don't know or TRUST who we buy from! YEP AZ is just fine the way it is for me. I sold a few things years ago and JOINED to spread the wealth ! Don't get me wrong I'm not sayin you should join because you sold something! Do what you want or do as your parents raised you.As for RULES I think we are just FINE NOW and Jamie I have no problem with you except you posted in the wrong section resulting in more bumps period! Ron <------The bumper of fine billiard equiptment+ don't like RULES

I will second this motion. It would be great to have one of the most popular part of the forums on AZ to have a couple of sections.
