Yeah, that's the credit I was referring to (from the manufacturer).

I did not ask Paul from Billiardplace.com directly about it.

It was clear to me, from his e-mail, that he spoke to the light manufacturer and after speaking to an engineer concluded that it would be silly to even ask for a refund. He decided, since Steve was a "Good Customer" (LOL), that he would just have Steve return the light and issue a partial "policy" refund, even though Steve had the light for 4 months already.

If Steve had as much class as Paul, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Period.

Some good did come from this scenario......... many people now know what a good company Paul runs! LOL. Thanks Steve!

Well it seems I've seen both sides of the story. The funny thing about getting both sides of the story is that a lot of times both sides are either a little, partially or completely full of crap.

My experience with being a customer is that being nice and understanding about a problem will get you much further and you will probably get a discount as well....if not free in some cases. Being a hard-on may get the same results, but it will also ruin someone's day who really isn't to blame and is most likely just a working stiff like yourself. Any time I get crappy service I don't bother raising a stink about it......I'll just blacklist em. You give a business enough rope.....they'll hang themselves so why ruin your day as well as someone else's day because of it.

That was like a really good soap opera-- bad customer service vs customer taking his sick thinking and completely exploiting a company. After doing what that guy did I think he should be banned from posting here. His took his customer power and tried to destroy this business reputation. The thing he failed to consider is that the people that post on AZ are a very strong community.

I must admit I doubted you also but I was amazed when you came through with proof of what happened. So even though I didn't post I need to apologize for passing judgement while reading the post

but how many people stopped at page 2 or 3 before any resolution happened and put the judgement on the company -- IMO this situation calls for some restitution to restore damage done.i know i'm dreaming on that last point
