Warning - Brianna Cues

Won't do anything for your monetary loss, but one of Erik Lee's J&J jump/break cues for $60 shipped is a sweet deal.

I actually bought one of those after trying it. I had a Fury JB and didn't like the balance. I tried my buddies J&J and quickly snatched one up while putting the Fury on eBay the same day.
 
This is a heads up to anyone considering buying anything from Brianna Cues.

I bought a jump break cue for 230.00 on 2/24 It arrived surprisingly fast within 2 days. I took it out that night. It didnt jump very well and didnt break very well but on the 7th break the bottom fell off. There were many people in the pool hall that witnessed this and were in disbelief.

I contacted lee about it (at brianna cues) and he said he couldnt believe it. And that he would ship another one. But I told him that it didnt jump very well or break very well for a jump break so I would just like a refund and I'll ship him the cue back. He hung up on me.

I shipped the cue back to him anyway with tracking. He received it over a week ago. Still no refund. He wont respond to any of my emails I send him. He also will not answer the phone. Oh and still no refund of 230.00

I'm aware that a) posting this will get flamed for stuff not regarding this post and b) that after he reads this my .01% chance of ever getting a refund is lowered even further.

Looks like im stuck 230.00 for taking a risk with this guys cues. Hopefully noone else takes the chance. I just cant believe any businessman would sell something that falls apart on the same day and hangs up on someone after they request a refund... and then completely ignores all forms of contact. Ostrich cues. We stick our head in the sand and act like everything is OK.

I have bought some things from his website with satisfactory results, but unless he comes forward and explains this situation on this forum . I will not buy from him again.
 
original poster - I think Lee will resolve your problem - i thought you might feel better to know he has done right by me and others in the past

Shamadam - I agree there is no excuse for hanging up on a customer period if that is indeed what happened (I bet there is another version of that conversation) I can only tell you what my experience with the company has been. I hope it works out for the customer and based on my own dealings with Brianna I think it will. Obviously you and others feel differently based on something. I'm sure there has been some problems.(most companies do have some problems)

As far as ragbugs example of customer service goes - that of course is absurd

as to one of my own experiences I was in need of a tip pad and after calling a # of the vendors we all know and being told I must make a fifty dollar minimum purchase etc.. I called Brianna - A woman answered the phone and I explained my situation (at this time they had no idea I was a previous customer) I heard her relay the story to Lee and he told her get his address and send him a few. They promptly sent me a couple more then a few - NO Charge thank you

So to me that was a pretty good example of customer service and requires that I at least share my positive experience with Brianna (that is not the only one)

my intent was and is not to get into a urination contest - I hoped to ease posters concerns.

Before everyone jumps the gun I agree he should leave a message or something to that effect and perhaps he does

Even if i search the forums as the bug suggests it will not change my own experiences with Brianna

I also agree that Chris is a great guy to deal with

Business owners need to remember that in times like this your product and customer service need to be as good as you can make it.

An example I can give is the ridiculously good customer service I got from cuesandstuff.com. They went above and beyond what I expected which is why they have been the first site I check for any billiards supplies I might want. I actually just checked their site because I told my gf that I wanted the Mastering Pool dvd set. Unfortunately they didn't have it, which bummed me out cuz they make me want to give them business.
 
im sure lee will make good on this. i have bought so much stuff from him its crazy and sometimes i still cant get hold of him. i agree lee hasnt made the smartest choices and he will tell you that but anyone that knows him knows he will give you the shirt off his back.
 
Having been in the Firearms Business over 30 years, I realized early on that only TWO
things really set me apart from the other retailers ...

I possessed a vast knowledge of firearms and competitive shooting and my Customer
Service was superior to most ...

In today's market I would say that Superior Customer Service should be the #1 goal
of any and all wholesalers, retailers, and those in the Service Industry ...

CS is the one thing that sets them apart ...

As for Brianna Products, I have had one very pleasant deal with Lee and I hope the unpleasant experience outlined in this thread is resolved to the satisfaction of both parties in a timely manner.

Thats the bad part, (I wasnt trying too advertise at any point. IN one thread I took the opertunity too tell a breif tale of Jacks customer service, then in another I made a joke out of it) and now because Ross didnt see the humor, and feels its his job to let me know when he feels Im out of line, Jacks name is being drug into somthing totaly beneath his integrity. That really bugs me. Sorry Mr. Madden I guess you can sock me next time I see you, just not in the face my looks are all I got.
 
cubc can you post pics of this cue? when you say back od you mean buttcap bumper entire bittsleeve? long story short if lee doesnt make good i will do what i can for the cost of shipping. i want to see what im getting into first...

I appreciate your concern for my wellbeing, however I don't care. I'm the same in person as I am online, and if he wants to run his mouth then I feel it's well justified for me to do the same. Act like a tool, he'll get the same treatment.

For the record, I started nothing. He just got all butthurt cause I neg'd him for a stupid post.

What luxury wrote he wrote all on is own. You have no reason to be "shivering with fear" he doesnt know that Im not even close to one of the tuff guys from my neighborhood.

I have know doubt (knowing what a punk, and tool, I am, with a hurtbutt that just runs my mouth) you'll come right up and tell me all about your opinions of me when were in the same room. And dont worry when you feel like smacking me, for being such a tool I wont call the cops, Im not that big of a punk Im old school must of had it coming I figure...Just 3 things: 1. If I get scared and swing back if you could extend the same courtesy. 2. Not in the face my looks are all I got. 3. Not in front of my boys I still got them thinking I can beat up Rampage Jackson,:D they would have to go to school in shame if their dad got beat up by some nit pool player....

iirc, this isnt the first thread started about piss poor business ethics with brainna cues. i didnt do the search, but im sure there was one a month or 2 ago.
 
Yeah there is some off topic drama but I have a hunch that brianna cues would rather not have the drama bumping this thread for all to see so I don't mind the side topic.

Nothing angers me more than crooked businessmen.

BUMP! just because this kind of crap REALLY get's my blood boiling. I had completely surpressed my tragedy with BRIANNA. I probably should have started a thread months ago when he laid down the trap, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure he's a great guy and has MILLIONS of happy customers but why this exception? BTW I wonder if this thread has encouraged Lee to contact the OP.

hey OP~ any word on your refund or repair of your busted ass cue? :D
