Warning! Paypal pmt w/"unconfirmed shipping address" to Singapore

That's just wrong, man. There are plenty of good people living overseas and seeing as how I am one of them I take it as a personal offense. Personally, I think you run the same risk in the US that you do shipping overseas. And look at it like this, what are you gonna do either way? If it's a criminal in the US you're still out a cue. What can you do? You'll never find them.

Nothing personal Mullyman, but I learned the hard way.

Export Shipments

In regards to shipping overseas the shipper may consider using the term "EX WORKS) on his documents. The legal definition follows however, simply, it means that the sellers obligations stop when the product is delivered to the carrier. Ex Works (EXW)
What does it Mean? A trade term requiring the seller to deliver goods at his or her own place of business. All other transportation costs and risks are assumed by the buyer
.
Before I retired, and sold my company, we shipped a lot of product overseas and everything was shipped EX-WORKS and we never had a problem. I believe PayPal would honor those terms with proof of shipment to the buyers designated address. I've never had a problem shipping cues overseas using PayPal but I usually have a pretty good idea of whom I am dealing with.

Before your Paypal pmt, I clearly stated twice that I would only ship to a "confirmed address". I can post those PMs here if you like.

Tell you what.... deduct the $30 in Paypal fees, send a money order and I'll gladly ship the cue promptly. Would that be fair?

Ok firstly to clear things up i didnt know what confirmed address is and just thought that it means having a verified account.

Secondly according to what everyone is saying here the payment should be refunded in full sadly im not getting it back in full.

Next i am totally clueless of how i am suppose to send a MO from my country to you and this would thus cause more days for before you would start shipping the cue.
Truth be told i am buying this cue for my friends birthday present so the delay would pretty much defeat the purpose of buying it.

Lastly im sure you have spoken to the previous seller that ive bought my Cue from and i'm not sure if you trust me now or not. If you want i can actually get a few other az-ers to vouch for me etc. but i suppose you dont really like paypal which is actually the only way i know how to make a payment via the internet. If you want the deal could still go on but ill need it promptly. And if im out to scam you i wouldnt even be bothered to protect myself on this thread here. I guess i have said enough

unfortunately i only deal with folks in usa. sad fact that is world known to be scammed 500% more outside the us and im not gonna take a chance. i know good buyers are overseas and all that but this is life. the criminal element dictates the market overseas.

Been screwed bad once on an overseas shipment. Unless I know the person, it's Western Union. You only have to hit me once with a 2x4.

I'm sorry for you lose BigJ. but it's a pros and cons thing for both seller and buyer, regardless of location. I guess you are traumatized by your experience and can't blame you for that. but it anycase, if you got screwed within the U.S. does that mean you're going to stop selling nationally?

I would consider this as your personal assumption. nobody wants to smear good ol' Uncle Sam, specially from an American.

Your first deal was with nbll01 (Dave). I know Dave personally and he told me the transaction could not have been smoother. He took a chance and trusted you and you were/are a man of your word. If I ever have anything for sale that you would like to buy I wouldn't hesitate to deal with you. Good luck with everything.

Correct me if I'm wrong but since when does Paypal charge a fee to a buyer making a payment?
If the transaction is cancelled/refunded by seller then the buyer should get a 100% refund of the payment.
I'd think to check into this before giving Paypal fee credits.
JMO

.

They don't charge the buyer they charge the seller. I clicked the refund button and they sent the remaining balance of $385 and charged or deducted another $14.90 to refund a net amount of $370 to Inevitz..

I can vouch for Inevitz too as i've done transactions with him 1 to 1 in Singapore. Great guy and gave no problems personally i feel you shouldn't have any problems with him at all.

So in simple terms are you going to carry on with the deal or just going make it such that ONLY I will lose out the $30 because of your unwillingness to send and my mistake for not having a confirmed address? Im not saying its your fault or anything, we are both at fault but for me to personally incure the whole lost of cost dont you feel its alittle.............(lost of words). Sigh.

I built and sold a custom to Inevitz and the deal was excellent. I Know theres a lot of scams going on out there overseas and in the US. I took a chance and I'm glad I did. The deal went perfectly and I wouldnt hesitate to sell another cue to Inevitz(Chester). Matter of fact I have a deal in the works with one of his friends. I probably sent and recieved 50 emails in the course of my deal and felt comfortable with doing it. Not everyone is out to scam people. Thanks Inevitz it was my pleasure.....Dave

Chester / Inevitz ----

Thought the above offer was Very reasonable, guess not. Would it be agreeable to you if:

1. I ship the Diveney to you in Singapore tomorrow (Friday).
2. I will enclose a self addressed envelope.
3. Promptly mail me your cashiers check for $370 when you are completely happy.

OR, I'll paypal you $15 of the $30 Paypal fee now.

Thanks,
Dave Pickett

I've used the refund link a couple of times and was never charged a fee. In fact the buyer is refunded the full amount and the transaction is cancelled along with any fees.

The cut and paste from my Paypal activity shows the fee to receive and fee to refund.

Paypal always takes out a few that's how they make money. I had a deal go south guy paid me with a dead mans account 21 days later paypal wants me to pay back the money $500. I didnt do anything wrong the other guy did they left him alone and went after me. I asked how can this be you [ paypal] Garunteed the money it's your screw up and the answer we just shift money no garuntees expressed or implied. they just offer a service for a few only.

Usps money orders are the only way to go its supported by the feds laws and regulations. And it only takes a few more minutes for the manager to go to the safe on larger transactions like 3-4,000 checks. Never been burned this way just have to wait in line a little longer.

That's exactly why I required a "confirmed address". Wasn't arbitrarily making demands and hate to prefudge anyone personally.

If he paid you $400 and you refunded $400 I'm not seeing where the $30 fee comes in -
possibly a call to Paypal for an explanation/adjustment?

I hope you guys come to a fast resolution since time is of the essence for the buyer.

I always have cash in hand now before anything is shipped. So the chances are slim for anymore screwings.

Same thing here. I couldn't get an account setup in paypal because they didn't have my country listed :( Too bad. i could've used paypal for alot of stuff, but nevertheless I usually use my mastercard now adays for online shopping and pursaching things I do need:)

INTERNATIONAL FUNDS TRANFER! The buyers bank wires the money into your account. It is a one way transfer. They can't take it back out. The commission is no more than ebay and all you need is a checking account. I think all banks offer this. Ask your bank. It is quick and certain.
