What did you guys think about Corey's final shot? Billy seemed to think it was a foolish shot and that much safer plays were available

well.... he was in a bit of a bind with him being almost on the rail down there, with all the balls being 4 ft or more away from him. It's tough to not leave Efren some kind of bank, but you want to make it unappealing enough that he decides against it. He needed to protect his 4 ball lead. It wouldn't have been the end of the world to have left Efren something to shoot at, since he would probably have just tried to shoot a bank at pocket speed.. he would have had to been careful to control his cueball, which meant he probably wouldn't have had another good shot after that.

Corey tried a pretty difficult shot. There wasn't that wide of a lane for him, considering that he's almost shooting off the rail, the ball is almost 9 ft away and he's trying for a thin hit. That's a whole lot of perfection there. He wanted to get past the side pocket, because of he hit above the side pocket, it was headed towards those 2 balls there. He tried a tough shot, he was 1/2 inch away from hitting it good and would have probably went on to win the game if he wouldn't have hit the tit.

Efren still needed a great run out to run 4 of them, especially having to setup for a tough bank that you're just trying to make or get hung up in the hole. He couldn't hit that too hard in case he missed, he didn't want to leave Corey a cross side bank.

Had to been heartbreaking for Corey, with a 4 ball lead, and to miss by millimeters and have the worst thing that could happen, to hit the point.

Thanks for posting the match. I'm new to 1 pocket and haven't played it yet but learning by watching videos. I watched the whole thing and thought it was a great match!
