Hey guys and gals, I just felt like I should thank some of the people on here for all athere help with everything I do an their support. We all have our problems and issues that we have got to deal with in life, but it seems that most of the people that attend the forums on a regular basis are great people just wanting to be involved in the evevation of the pool and billiards scene in their area. People who spend hours trying to make things in our sport better. They are fighting the economy and many other things that stand in their way but keep pushing to do the right thing.
I know thate there are lots of you out there and I would like to thank you for doing what you are doing even, I know there are a few pwople on here that I can call anytime and get a positive, honest and sometimes critical response from on any ideas, or thoughts I may have. I know I will miss someone but here is a BIG thank you to the following for all the help and support,

JAM
Fast Lenny
Fatboy
Jay Halfarto boy
John Schmidt
Cocobolocowboy
BlackJack
Back2good1
Sweetmarissa
peer
Luxury
Corey from Tiger Products
Mike Howerton
Jerry Forsyth

As you can imagine there are many more. I drew a blank, Anyway to all who do not know these folks, please know they are some of the best people in the sport and are willing to help. Thats all for now, As I said I just felt like I needed to say a thank you.

Thanks Mark.... but I think the big thanks needs to go to you. You not only have the idea's... but you put them in action. The valley owes a lot to you and I for one and glad you are here!

By the way... I have been trying to get a hold of you... drop me PM or email.

How could you leave Smorg out?
I smell a big RED rep hammer warming up.

Oy-vey, that sucks up the rep faster than a Hoover. IMO :p

I would like to thank Mark for bringing the Strickland-Archer Pool School to Portland. I will be attending along with three of my cohorts in (pool) crime. With the knowledge I gain, I am hoping to run my first table after 20 years of shooting balls straight into rails. :D

Thanks for the kind words, but I feel as though the thanks should be thrown your way for trying to make good things happen in the pool world, like having these Archer/Strickland clinics and exhibitions around the country. It is EXPENSIVE to travel these days, and I appreciate everything that you guys are doing. It was great talking with you the other day.

With the advent of the Internet technology, I think we may see pool have an uptick, so to speak. TAR is doing remarkable things, as is RunoutRadio, Accu-Stats, BCn, and other video stream providers.

As we all know here in the States, pool ain't happening on TV much, unless it's a re-run or a match that occurred months ago. Frankly, it is embarassing to see some of the pool matches on TV and see that first place prize monies is $8,000, as one example. The hot dog eating champions seem to get more publicity and win more money than the pool greats today.

People like you help advance pool by bringing these great players to the pool rooms. It keeps pool alive and well, each time you do it. In case nobody has said it lately, thank you for promoting pool and doing what you do!

P.S. I am getting ready to transcribe an interview for a major magazine of the gentleman in your avatar right now. It's only 20-minutes long, but I'm looking forward to it!

I smell an Internet clique forming. Maybe we can have specific avatars for them, like a golden cue or something. That would be the awsomest.

Mark in the heck is Helen Keller?

On another note it would take up too much space to list my list of good folks.

I was just mentioning the people who have given me alot of help. That is not to say that Smorgie is not a great person or that Smorgie does not do alot to help pool or anything else. As I said there are probably alot of people I missed.
