This will be an epic math at 10:30 a.m., EASTERN TIME.

I have had the pleasure to get to know Jose Parica a little bit, and I am confident he wants this win more than anything. Efren has nothing to prove, but I am sure he is well aware of Jose's thoughts on beating him. :grin-square:

When I go to tournaments, the Filipino players usually hang out together, eat together, play together, et cetera. Jose and Efren, though they are friendly, don't hang out together.

Efren is 60 and Jose is 65, and they both still have game. I know Jose has been enjoying Vegas activities in recent years, to include cards and OTB horses, of course. I'm not sure how active he's been in the pool world. I don't recall reading his name very much.

That said, this will be a friendly grudge match. Who do you like? :)

Thanks to UpstateAl, here's the menu for today:

★★ The 39th US OPEN ★★

✪ Wednesday 10/15/2014

✪ The Schedule So Far:

▶ 10:30am - Jose Parica vs. Efren Reyes

▶ 12:30pm - Dang Jin Hu vs. Earl Strickland

▶ 2:30pm - Donny Mills vs. Jeremy Sossei

▶ All Times Are Eastern (EDT) ◀

You want to watch it live? Go to Accu-Stats ---> HERE.

Buy one match for day session ($5.95) or buy the entire day ($9.95) or buy the entire week ($36.95). One match for day session is $5.95, which is what I'm getting. Due to work, I never know when I will be called away, so I have to buy one match at a time. :o

If one buys the full week pass but is not able to be at the computer will it be there for viewing at a later time? Miitch

I always root for the gray beards, but in this case I have to make a choice and it's a tough one. I'd love to see Jose take it all, but I can say the same for Efren.

I'm going with Jose.

I really want to see the old guard take the Open...I root for those guys every year.

Parica owns Reyes

As much as I love watching Jose and Efren play, for me at least it's hard to believe
that Accu-stats is choosing to put on this match over Dechaine and Bergman.

With all the hype about a new younger Mosconi Cup team this year here we have a chance
to see a match up between two young guns (Mike & Justin) that I for one have never seen
compete against each other before, and they are basically showing a rerun as far as I'm concerned.

I see your point for sure. I think because these two veterans are so seasoned that they may be hoping the TV match will be a good one for the spectators. Everybody knows Efren and Jose, but only us pool aficonados know M.D. and Bergman. ;)

Hopefully, though, as the week moves forward, we will have a chance to see both of them on the TV table.

I will say this, though, that sometimes the players are asked if they want to do their match on the TV table, and some of them have declined this request, thinking the TV table rolls differently. I have witnessed this firsthand. I'm not saying this is the case here, though. :)

And here's this morning's menu for Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Well while I would like to see Jose get some rec....

I have to say that my heart would like to see Jose get some recognition but my head says that Efren will probably take this one down..

Similar to my thoughts on the Brandon Shuff, Rodney match...

I doubt it but I am not sure. I enjoyed the ESPN3 coverage because of the archive was available very quickly and I could watch the matches at my convenience.

Reyes all the way!!

I just purchased Day Match for Accu-Stats ($5.95), and it just shows "Loading" on a white screen. Does anybody else see the table yet, if they purchased it?

Parica should win 11-10

Buy one match for day session ($5.95) or buy the entire day ($9.95) or buy the entire week ($36.95). One match for day session is $5.95, which is what I'm getting. Due to work, I never know when I will be called away, so I have to buy one match at a time. :o

Actually $5.95 buys the whole session i.e. 3 matches not just 1 match :)

And for this afternoon, Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
Evening session 1030pm has 5 monster matches spolit for choice while 630pm and 830pm has nothing as monstrous. How about they reschedule some of the 1030pm matches to 630pm and 830pm on TV table
1030pm
Buste-John Morra
Li He Wen -Thorsten
Nick Eko -Mario He
Corey-Jayson Shaw
Van den berg-Mika

Thanks so much for the clarification on the excellent deal for $5.95 as well as what's currently going on with my "loading" problem. ;)
